How to make a youtube background in gimp 2

@xFreakyys So there could be several problems with this, Either the background is to large in file size, or maybe you saved it as a file extension that youtube doesnt use, Id recommend saving your background as something like "background.jpg".

ok so i do something different and have no idea how to make a bg. I do my sketch on the bacground slide and then i make a new layer and title it sketch. after that i trace the other bg sketch and then i erase i bg sketch. I use the bg layer to color in my sketch. but I have no idea how to create a background for my drawing. could u help me out. i would really appreciate it :)

okay, so Im hoping you will see this, I have Gimp 2, but when I open new layers, it doesnt show the box on the right, the one that lists all the layers... so can you help?! Thanks

@lcampbell0408 Alright a quick fix should be this.

Go to the top of the bar where it says file, edit, and so on.

Towards the right there will be one that says "windows", click that one.

Under that drop down menu there should be an option for, "Recently Closed Docks" Click it.

Under that there should be an option for, "Layers, channels, paths, undo," Click that and your right side layers bar should be back.

If not, comment again and ill try to help as much as I can :D

Hey man, you probably won't reply to me, but when i open up gimp, i don't have that toolbar that you have opened on the right of the video, i only have the one on the left. Any idea how to get it? thanks in advance. Great tut.

Well currently my gimp isnt working, im getting some weird error, but i can help tell you how to get it back, you probably have an older version of gimp, not the newest one, it looked just like the left sidebar. You could install the newer version, or possibly you clicked the little (X) on the right tool bar. To get it back, go to one of the options on the top, I personally cant remember which and look for a sidbar or layers option, that should d. Hope i helped
