Gotta love the internet... In the early 80's while living in Utah, I looked high and low for a record from "Cross Section" after seeing them in Quadro and really liking their sound. Of course, there was nothing to be found anywhere. 25 years later, here's an homage to them. Very cool.
Back in the day, I think 1978, when I was a very young saturday girl in a Rochester hairdressers, I had a customer who told me her son (from Gravesend I think) was in a band called Cross Section and was that day recording something for a film with The Who... little did I realise at the time
They were not a MOD band and only changed there image for the film part . I will ask if there was anything eles was recorded at this time and not used
should of been a cd,i was a little mod back in the early 80"s,used to frequent carnaby street and listen to the quadrophenia movie soundtrack album,id love to hear more form "cross section",f--king brilliant band,do a reunion like secret affair did,and what was the name of the 2nd song in the film from croos section ?
Hats off to you - this was a quality cover. Such a shame you never recorded anything else. I'd always wondered who the band was and what happened to them!
Cross section were s**t should have been the chords !

Reminds me of the theme tune to Sesame Street! Lol! Just kidding - The Mod era was a necessary ingredient of Brit 1960's culture.

Hi.
We were not from Australia, but from Kent in England. We never recorded a Cd.
Tapes of 'Dimples' and Boom Boom' from the Quadrophenia sessions exist but are crappy quality.
