you need to purchase a 'ps2 network adapter'. this is where you plug the other end of the cable into if you do not have the slimline like me.

then you plus the ps2 network adaptor into the back of the ps2 console.

What i did was connect the ethernet cord to the PS2 and Router and then put in MK Armageddon or Madden 06 and then it took me to this menu where it helped me setup up PS online and there you go i was playing MK Armageddon online
