  • @juanfranciscoh I couldn't tell you the exact name of the note because the capo is on the 2nd fret but the beautiful Thom plays it just as you would a "D"

  • :)

  • I want this video on my Optimus Chat C550 unit.

  • i was there!!! My most beloved among the whole live

  • 5:40 what note is this?

  • I have listened this song in the Christmas Eve

  • People think that listening to radiohead has made me depressed. On the contrary, if it weren't for radiohead i would have been pushing up daisies a long time ago.

  • radiohead guys are one of the best musicians ever :)

  • this is the song that made me realize that kid a was a perfect album and radiohead the perfect band

  • beautifully shooted

  • As I hear this song I am thrust back in time to being 15 and at dinner with my mother and the man she would let rape me later (they did get me drunk first, I'm grateful for small mercies) and as I stare down at my arms, covered in cuts, I do just what he describes in this song. When I played Kid A in 2000 I realized for the first time what had really happened to me, at 32 I was still disappeared. Grateful isn't a strong enough word for what I feel for this band. The world sucks, Radiohead heals.

  • perfect piece of art o the 21st century

  • only 148,448 views? the world is missing out

  • Musicians who take art and culture in general with as much respect and dedication are too rare, nowadays. And even more rare are those as talented as Radiohead.

    @93HaD93

I'm not english-speaking, but I believe he says "thank you everyone for coming", and then something in Japaneese, so only few people here could understand him anyway :p

  • @4Firmament domo arigato gozaimasu means thank you very much....you obviously weren't into styx in the 80's

  • electrifying!

  • What he says at the end of the song, please?

  • @93HaD93 domo arigato gozaimasu = thank you very much

  • @93HaD93 domo arigato gozaimasu means thank you very much

  • @cyaud Thank you :)

  • uf...this feelin i had all my life that comes & goes...till it stays 4ever.

thank u Radiohead for capturing it.

  • Best ending... possible

  • This song was my only solace during a period of utter grief in my life. It will always hold a special place in my soul.

Thank you for posting this beautiful rendition.

  • Colin's baseline on this song is so strong. I can't comment enough on this entire show and the setlist - they played EVERY one of my fav tunes. Wow.

  • @OneOfTheSmurfs - your comment is so fucking spot-on. A human being cannot fully grasp in logical terms how this song makes you feel.

  • @nunofmf22 I like creep :) And i like motion picture soundtrack. That makes me a paradox doesnt it? An anomaly.

  • FUCK! You can´t end a concert with this song. It makes you want more D:

  • Goosebumps.

  • I am so blessed to have seen this live...Truly amazing. To see your favorite band (twice) at Red Rocks and see Thom pour his heart into every single second... I'm in love and have been for so many years.

  • I appreciate the basement, stripped-down work these guys do, but I'd love to see them perform with a full orchestra.

  • So beautifully done

Im not here, this isnt happening

  • by far the best live rendition of this song

  • Good thing about this kind of songs is that they are so fucking well composed that makes you happy listening to them, instead of getting sad about the tragedy that the song actually tells you about.

It's like: "Oh god, I'm listening to something so cool that I don't even care if it's depressing stuff"

Even if you have a shitty day, if you listen to this you can get happy thinking that someone could actually make a song about the feeling you are going through. And that someone is Thom Yorke &CO.

  • i'm not here when i hear this song...

  • Here's the test of a band's greatness: Are they appreciated internationally? These videos of Radiohead's concerts in Japan are amazing. Check out the response to Weezer in Japan, and Bjork in Poland.

  • beautiful.

i just wish that they had changed the light show to crimson on the key change.

  • I love this song, as well as Fake Plastic Trees and Creep. They are probably the most depressing songs I know of, but I don't care. I've been depressed for years, I'm on 200mg of Zoloft, there's no hope of getting better.

  • That there, that's not me I go where I please I walk through walls I float down the Liffey I'm not here This isn't happening I'm not here, I'm not here In a little while I'll be gone The moment's already passed Yeah, it's gone
  • Wonderful performance. But i can't help noticing that all the suggestions to the right are barbie videos. o_o what on earth....

  • Wow.

  • Ed looks 5 feet taller than Thom when they're walking off stage. ha.

  • radiohead is my soul

  • Phil Selway is the man

  • This is absolutely amazing live, I remember standing soaked to the skin from the rain when they played Malahide Castle, just letting this wash over me. It was such an amazing experience.

  • The sensitivity behind their music is very compelling... Radiohead is one of those bands which moves around certain spheres, which normal "pop-bands" just ignore and don´t care to acknowledge. In my opinion, there lies the difference between art and comerce

  • this song is just beautiful

  • Como canta este tipo, es una de las mejores voces que he escuchado, sin duda es la mejor banda del mundo actualmente.

  • yeees 0:03 made my life so hapy xD

  • its almost depressing to see the close mindedness of the english speaking west. I'm sure their are plenty of great japanese bands that should be selling out the o2 just as radiohead are in this japanese arena.

  • i am fucking jeleus of japan! first the manga now that... one day i am defenitly gonna live there!

  • This might be the best song ever writen. They are the true gods of this world!

  • This is a beautiful song. Thom wrote it whilst on the ok computer tour, as some fans will know he hated the media spotlight, despised the attention and soon enough as a result, despised himself. For a period of 2yrs or so, thom suffered from depression. This song is all about the horrible situation that he found himself in therefore it is so meaningful and so beautiful

  • freaking enigmatic

  • Fortunately there is Radiohead in our "lost" world. can we imagine a world without Radiohead music? For me at least, i'd be lost. Vive RH

  • love the stage set.

  • "Thank you everyone for coming". Coolest way to end a concert. Ever.

  • Best-Radiohead-song-EVER!

  • Is it just me or were they playing that much faster than normal?

  • King of Limbs doesn't come clsoe to Ok Computer, the bends, Kid A, Pablo Honey. It's just so so. I'm not that crazy about it and I feel it's a weak attempt from them.

  • @awarlock82 I know exactly how you feel. Waited 4 years for TKOL...just very very disappointed in it's quality.

  • @awarlock82 Agreed. Codex is fucking amazing though.

  • @Ichixkun53

Agreed. Codex is my favorite song on the album along with Lotus Flower. Those two I can listen to numerous times. I really love Codex, it has feeeling and it's powerful.

  • you changed my life. thank you.

  • i wish the drums werent so heavy near the begining

  • goosebumps

  • 4:02 the years have gone through Ed

  • It is just impossible to digest the beauty of this song.

  • minchia l'ingeniere Greenwood

  • I'd say Radiohead's one of the bands that you can't really say they have a best song. It's all amazing?

  • this song my best..

  • эта песня больше остальных хочет вырваться за узкие приделы человеческих эмоций.

    она больше чем шедевр.

  • looooveee thiisss! its so heartaching beautiful

  • For Japan!

    =

    日本のために!

    =

    Peace ~ TLC

  • the 4 people that dont like this video are disappearing completely

  • sounds like he's got a bunged up nose in this one :P... lovely though.

  • i want this to be played at my funeral

  • People who say Radiohead music is depressing don't understand the music.

  • @deadlesblue Um really....so....it's supposed to be a happy song? Sometimes you people who are overly obsessed with looking too deeply into things need to cool it. How is this NOT a depressing song? You could tell me it was actually written about going to the circus and I guarantee every time I listen to it i'm still gonna feel depressed. But, as you're so convinced we who say it's depressing don't understand the music, please enlighten, what is the real meaning here?

  • @blackhorse099 the real meaning is that yes the song is sad but not depressing. If youre emotionally mature, you should be able to exprerience the sadness and say, i feel sadness, therefore i feel alive - i am human because i am capable of feeling such a strong emotion from art. therefore the reaction to the song is positive. If you dont, then maybe youre just actually depressed or listened to too much dead emotionless rap songs

  • @bombtom512 Excuse me. I despise rap and I don't ever listen to that bullshit. Yes it is a positive thing to be able to feel alive through the sadness of the song, I agree with that.

  • @blackhorse099 sorry shouldnt have attacked the rap genre anyway, had a long day

  • @bombtom512 no, you most definitely should have attacked the rap genre. it sucks monkey balls.

  • @bombtom512 That is a brilliant comment. I might have to steal that if my dreams ever come true and I get interviewed one day...haha yeah right. Radiohead Forever!

  • Comment removed

  • this song has a soul more beautiful than most people I know :)

  • they are gods...

  • I have to meet the 4 people who disliked this...

  • listen to nice dream and bulletproof i wish i was great songs from "the bends"

  • @YorkeTchock: indeed, what an amazing instrument...

  • 4 people don't know how to disappear completely

  • Damn you Radiohead. This is good. King Of Limbs....not as good.

  • @TehWinnerz yeah i agree :(

  • @TehWinnerz

KoL can't be compared to Kid A, nor should OK Comp be compared to In Rainbows, or amnesiac to Hail to the theif, etc. The point at which Kid A was made was a totally different time in their career, with a different sound and different purpose. I've heard lots of critics bash king of limbs because it didn't give them what they want, but if I've learned anything about this group, it's that they havent put out a shite album since Pablo Honey. everyone will understand it eventually

  • @marinerman4451 Oh, so I don't understand it? Hilarious.

  • ESTA CANCION ES UN LINDO RECUERDO.. CADA VEZ QE LA ESCUCHO RECUERDO SIEMPRE A TODA MI FAMILIA.. GRACIAS DIOS POR HACER DE RADIOHEAD UN GRUPO MUY BUENO .. desde LIMA-PERU

  • Anyone who thumbs this down should be investigated.

  • This song makes me cry

    Im a men -.-

  • Turn off the lights wherever you are...press play to the video and enjoy the trip you are about to do...this music will take you to places that no one knows, except yourself.

  • Is it just the stage, or is Thom Yorke always followed by an ominous blue glow?

  • I could listen to that ondes loop (at the end) forever.

  • 4 people must disappear completely=)

  • 4 so far ppl are complete idiots. how can anyone with a little taste in music NOT like this?

  • @EviLSiLenZ It's absolutely weird. There's not any single reason not to enjoy listening to such a magnificient piece of music. This isn't even music, this is a reiteration of a once-in-a-lifetime nocturnal bliss. Who wouldn't want to live such a beautiful moment? "Oyasumi nasai".

  • I just wish i had an Ondes Martenot :(

  • the beggining sequence is fucking haunting....

  • please can someone tell me how 4 people dared to click on "I don't like this"?!?!!? This IS a great performance of a sublime song!

  • jizz in my pants @ 6:47

  • not the best performance of this song that they've done but the OUTRO IS AMAZING!!!

  • lol...Ed always being a gentleman! (6:59)

  • So beautiful and majestic. There's isn't a button they could put on you tube that I could press that would describe how much I love this.

  • the only band that hits me this good is Animal Collective

  • This song is just 8 and a half minutes of pure genius - such emotional power, yet gentle and haunting.

Also, the ambient synth drones at the end remind me of the Forest Temple in Zelda.

  • there sould be a "epic" buttom, or a "god" buttom, maybe "badass" buttom... :D

  • does anybody know what johnny is using?

  • @vic80895 is called "ondes martenot"

  • holyfuck

  • uma das melhores musicas que eu ja ouvi na minha vida !

  • Thx Thom Yorke for having composed an easy guitar tab to play this magnific song even if we are novice :)

  • There shouldnt be a thumb down button for this song....

  • I now realize my initial comment on how we should bitch less about this stuff has just led to more bitching. Disengaging here and now and returning to the music. Godspeed mates.

  • @OpakeArawra2 On the right track mate but not there yet in terms of reason or evidence. For example, I think this is a good song because of its wonderful meshing of texturally rich lines with a soft yet powerful beat. All of which complement the alienation themed lyrics perfectly.

Don't get me wrong, you're free to hate it, you like what you like, but since you came here and started throwing shit around I think the burden of proof is on you.

  • Comment removed

  • Thom's acoustic, anybody know which type it is :(? been looking for years..

  • @BlackIroni it's probably an unnecessarily expensive one. it really sounds horrible, imo.

  • @BlackIroni Gibson Hummingbird. I'm quite surprised that took years to find as it's a pretty well known guitar.

  • @sdkelso93 it aint my domain dude, and obviously I would already known if someone else had a clue ;)

  • @OpakeArawra2 I certainly agree that a shit load of Radiohead fans can be pretentious in the extreme.

I would however recommend bringing a bit of evidence to back up your allegations of "sucking shit" in the future to avoid looking like an idiot. Just a thought.

  • @vitek2 my bit of evidence for radiohead sucking shit is this very song. it's pretty fucking bad.

i don't have much of a problem with people who sorta kinda like a few songs by radiohead maybe, i have a problem with the real fans of the band--the people who REALLY like what the band has to say (which amounts to nothing). THOSE people suck shit.

  • Comment removed

  • @OpakeArawra2

Sure, some radiohead fans are elitists/pretentious assholes, but what does that mean to me? Absolutely nothing...I'm not so insecure with my intellect so as to think that listening to a particular band will make me a pretentious "shit sucker"....You should know that without solid reasoning, labeling someone else pretentious is implicitly pretentious. Therefore, i'll simply request that you quit stroking your ego in public and go listen to the music that you like.

  • 3 people must have pushed the wrong button

  • I think this is the best version live ever. The intro and outro, are fucking epic. The atmosphere created by the outro is amazing. That is something like the lyrics but transformated into a short song, with more soul, more Thom, Ed, Jonny, Colin and Phil. But, it is not happenin, it is not here.

  • Those jeans= instant win.

  • I thought this was the best song on Kid A and while i say it was not the best "Best" Radiohead Album, it was the most "unique" and anything by Radiohead is still a wonderful Band. When people say that a certain band or song can save your life, this one did. Every work this band has made should be duly noted, theres so much stuff by Radiohead and many other bands getting slammed about by people and critics because they all want to join The group of attacking older, lesser, or experimental Work

  • Am I real? ><... Who knows.!

  • Truly inspirational. This song soars beyond the skies and takes my soul with it, every single listen. From the somber and slow intro, to the build up, to the echoing shouts of a musician fully engulfed in the music. No other band can describe the human emotion better than Radiohead. Kid A is without doubt the greatest achievement in music history.

  • @Desperado8600

I LOVE Radiohead... but you need to listen to more music if you think Kid A is the "greatest achievement in music history."

  • @msteele79 Tell me an album better than Kid A.

  • @Desperado8600

Ok that's a loaded question. First, me saying something is "the best" is just my opinion, same as you. "The best album to me" is more like it. Quantifying something as the greatest achievement of all time gives it objective qualities, and neither you nor I are capable of that.

I could give you the album most people consider to be the best of all time. I could give you what was most culturally significant, or the most innovative... none would be the "greatest achievement."

  • @Desperado8600

All I can tell you is my opinion, which is subjective. So don't try to attribute objective "bestness" to something that is only your opinion.

  • @Desperado8600 punk in drublic by nofx, family style by srv, let's go by rancid, literally anything lightnin hopkins did, the score by the fugees, enter the 36 chambers by some guys you better not fuck with, energy by op ivy, the white album by the beatles, by the throat by eyedea (rip) and abilities, anything jeff ott has done especially in crimpshrine, mediocre generica by leftover crack, somewhere in the between by streetlight manifesto, and i wanna end by saying yo. fuck. radiohead.

  • Åäö

  • Wow.... probably their second best song behind fake plastics trees...

  • @SirReddy7 Probably. What makes Radiohead so awsome is that is hard to decide the best song :)

  • @SirReddy7 Really? Fake Plastic Trees? I can think of 10 Radiohead songs that top FPT without blinking an eye.

  • @MrsYankees1913 Same i dont see why FPT is always said to be the best Radiohead song

  • @MrsYankees1913 well.. i dont think its the best one.. but it surely is one of the most emotionally recognizables

  • This song may be one of the best artistic achievements of human kind in recent history.

  • @kinversoni: i wholeheartedly agree sir (or madam)

  • @kinversoni *must be

  • @joemunkey30

    Good correction.

  • i have this concert :D joojjo :D

  • Ii love how the song is in the key of E but we never actually get to hear a full E chord until 5:38. The song just builds up and up in tension and when it comes to that moment, the result is mindblowing.

  • @gpeddino the key is F# minor...

  • @farfle10 what's F#? the scale (then i can't find it by myself)? the tonality (then i'd say it's in D)? how do you know? i have a few basis, you can explain it using few technical words :)

    thanks

  • @Cricriiii i was just judging how it resolves on F# minor, the chord.

  • @farfle10 That`s true. My bad.

  • when i hear this i feel like going back n correcting my wrongs...to make sure i dont dissapear completely

    i hope youtube is well...

    much love!!

  • beautiful :)

  • I go where i pleased... come to Chile again please <3

  • a perfect performance from the best band in the world

  • They are under rated... I dont get it why people choose to create music like lady gaga just repeating a stupid word thinking its cool on a bad beat..... I dont feel anything when i listen to lady gaga... When i listen to radio head ... anything from the 80s 90s i feel something goose bumps, tears , sadness, happiness this is music..... Music is ment to make you feel an emotion or make you be in a state of mind where you can think freely

  • Back in the 80's, if Radiohead had existed and I had to choose between Drugs and Radiohead.......Radiohead would be my choice.

  • Fantastic songwriting accompanied by breathtaking musicianship.

Yes, this is what you get, this is Radiohead.

  • excellent video/song.

@Tappoo, he uses an EBow on the treble boost setting and a delay (probably, to smooth out transirion between notes), and maybe a few other pedals

  • Ed's guitar sound is magnificent in this song. I wonder how he get's that sound..

  • oh my goodness...

  • seeing radiohead was the best experience of my life.
