  • I bought this song from iTunes. It turned out to be a rip-off... they cut a whole minute out of it, including the series of don't-have-tos.

  • felling an orgasm up my butthole while larry craig sleeps in my dad's bedroom with a guy I don't even know is what happens when I put this song at FULL BLAST!

  • I think it the celebrity version, it should've had the alternate line from here. Don't get me wrong, the celebtiry version's great, but it should've had the line from 1:26-1:38. Besides, I like Hoots' "YEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" and how Ernie's sax squwaks at 1:37.

  • Four people can't put down the duckie.

  • I bet Ernie masturbated in the tub

  • Don't be a stubborn cluck!

  • Can't believe I found this! Takes me back to my childhood :)

  • like rose and mr hudson, how random!

  • he instantly learns to play sax, i wish i could do that. *sigh*

  • Dude its saying put down the ducky!!!

  • Hoots is like the best Sesame Street character ever. I mean, it's an OWL that plays the SAXOPHONE. Does your owl play the saxophone? I DON'T THINK SO.

  • This reminds me of I cannot talk on a cell phone and drive at the same time. In relation to this tune, it is distracting when you have a rubber duckie and playing a sax at the same time.

  • love this

  • i caught myself singing "put down the ducky" and had no idea where I had heard it... and then i remembered i watched this as a kid. WEIRD

  • this is truly the bomb.

  • I've got a video from when I was little, half of it is Sesame Street and the other half is the Monster Awards. I may be 18, but I'm cracking it out later! This song is awesome! My parents still sing it around the house now!

  • Aw, I know this tune SO well!

  • Ah! What a catchy tune! I remember seeing this when I was a kid. Great memories, all due to one awesome song.

Oddly enough, I recall one of the upper-level people who created Sesame Street saying something about wanting to create a TV show for young kids that parents could also watch "Without having to up-chunk into the kitchen sink." :laughs:

  • My favourite song from Sesame street :) This tune really gets stuck to your head. You gotta put down the ducky, ta taratara ta, you gott . . .

  • This is my favorite Sesame Street song!!!

  • mine too

  • The true reason I played sax in middle and high school .Shh, it's a secret ;o).

  • gamewhiz. 100% yes.

  • what is the lady's name in this video, the one singing in spanish, I'm looking for her in the 1-10 in spanish on sesame street.

  • Her name is Celia Cruz

  • Which part have the lady singing in spanish??

  • Just realise the version u all mention about stars appearing in not in this video.. Haha.. Why people still mention it when is not in this video..

  • *tap dances*

  • alas, The ducky could make a great musical instrument.

  • put down the ducky !

  • go ernie!

  • i love this song the beat is great and the instrument's add a lot to the song too!!!

  • I kinda wonder if this song was inspired by the musical "Crazy for you"'s 'Slap that Base' by Gershwin

  • Very good beat!!

  • one of the best songs EVER!!!!<333

  • i kno

  • I remember this when i was 4 years old in 1996. Brings backs so many memrories.

  • [/greatness]

  • Dude, this was made in the early 80's!

  • "Don't be a stubborn cluck!" HA!

  • Sesame Street will never be as good as it used to be lol.

  • Here, here!

  • So right!

  • i see a powerful message here...we all have our personal "duckies"...and we all need to put down our ducky at some point.

  • that is how I always interpreted this song too. sometimes in life we have to put down something we are holding on to if we want to advance to the next level. we cant move forward while holding it in our hands trying to have both. the strenght to let go and the associated rewards. thanks for your comment.

  • ohh my goodness- childhood coming back to Me now...

  • Yeah!

  • Hoots, performed by Muppeteer Kevin Clash on Sesame Street, sounds just like when he performed Goriddle Gorilla on TGSC! Same gravely voice!

  • PROPS

  • Put it down!

  • down!

  • down!

  • You've done one heck of a dubbing job--the technical quality alone deserves five stars!

  • Well I am one the few on here who is willing to export audio enhance it then re sync it even if it is to the German video.

Sound quality is often overlooked when posting to these sites ex: Cookie Disco VS Cookie Disco(now whit sound)

  • You truly do have talent
