  • HEAD ACHE, >>> Hold the camera still dude , amateur hour on the farm with billy bob.

  • @steveevanss Head ache eh? Amateur hour? Yeah, that's what YouTube is.

This was 2.5 years ago. Rest assured, equipment and techniques only get better with experience.

  • @SwampDonkey530 you can get any weapon and attachment in Canada. Its just the legal issues. But then again, no one cares.

  • That's cool shit,,they won't let us have a supresser in canada,,,for that matter,they almost had all our guns,,,so they think( the government..i mean)..probably thought they'd be the first ones sniped at...but seriously,,,them short mags make a big boom,,yours sounds like a 17hmr....NICE !

  • The first one dropped like a stone.

  • get a new camear or new camear man you can find both them a wal-mart

  • @gunandbowhunting Note the date and the videos since. There is nothing wrong with the camera man. It was simply an equipment issue that's been resolved. Thanks for watching.

  • @gunandbowhunting let he who has any experience making a similar video cast the first comment.

  • Great hunt but get you a new camera man next time that doesn't have parkinsons !!!!! .. he made me car sick

  • @rico334 the camera man is doing fine...recovering nicely. Finally found a cure for whatever he had. It's called the Sony HDR-XR550 and Manfroto Tripod that we upgraded to two years ago.

  • I've seen them and they're awesome. I'm just giving you a hard time lol its a badass set up you have there! Keep up the good work!

  • @hogbait96 haha no worries, Keep checking often, got a couple more reviews that I'll get up tonight. More hunting footage in the very near future coming as well.

  • Badass video, gun, and shots, but you also need a badass tripod to go along with it...

  • @hogbait96 That was 2009, We upgraded equipment in 2010. Check the "First Coyote Hunt of 2010" video and the "Coyote 6pack" video.

The "In Pursuit of a Mile" video is in full 1080p HD.

  • I'm Minnesota and you can't use suppressors its gay.

  • @TIG2MAN0 have you contacted your representatives and voiced your opinion? I suggest doing so and doing it often...however, I would also recommend choosing a different set of adjectives to express your distaste with current legislation.

  • @theonlyrealcbass16 Pointing out his set of adjectives when at the end of the video you yourself should probably use better ones yourself, just a thought!

  • @forgiven4ever83 My audience is a random demographic spread around the world that are seeking entertainment. I have no way of targeting one group specifically.

I was suggesting he contact a political group to voice his opinion. A VERY different audience that will most likely discredit you're approach if it's done in poor taste. I was offering him constructive advice, to improve his chance of getting ridiculous legislature overturned in sates like MN and IA.

  • @theonlyrealcbass16 Yes, that is what you were talking about at first, but when you say HOWEVER that changes it from what you were talking about to what I was making reference too.

  • What kinda rifle is that

  • @Cfennell78 It's a custom built 243WSSM and I'll be doing a review on it very soon. It's featured in most of my other videos as well.

  • well u got ur deer now get u a BETTER CAMERA MAN

  • Suppressors and how many rounds in the mag, just asking cause in AZ we are not allowed,

  • @rodavasle it was a 30 round PMAG that was modified to hold 11 rounds of WSSM ammo and had a round limiting block to take it down to 5. I've since switched to mostly 20rnd mags as well that drop down to 7 rounds and use small blocks to take them down to 5.

The suppressors are legal for all hunting in South Dakota, and myself and my hunting partners take full advantage of that fact.

  • Hey guys. Im from England and we call your suppressors moderators but hey all the same, i would never shoot any of my rifels without one as they are awesome, we have alot of guys over here who dont like using them because they say its extra weight to carry around with them makes the rifle longer etc....all shite excuses. I have shot many deer who are in herds and managed to get another, all because of the moderator! Who ever says they are crap needs to use one! Keep up the good work guys. J

  • Ahhhh.. I love the terminator music...

  • good video great shots. its not easy filming a hunt.

  • @gabriel338lapua it's even harder trying to self-film a hunt

  • Damn what is your load data for that round?

  • @QuadRider004 i really don't remember the load specifics that day, because I've switched to different bullets for my big game hunts. I was shooting 75 gr Vmax at a modest 3100 fps that day and as you can see, they performed just fine. I've since switched to 105 Amax and am sending them between 3160 and 3200.

  • Geeze, I think I'm going to be sick, the way that camera man is holding the camera.

  • @windtalker661 old camera and no tripod on the trip. Watch the "Suppressed Coyote" video on my channel to see a hunt with the new camera or the "Vapor Trail" video to see the new camera AND tripod.

  • Ever heard of a tripod? And I don't mean for the rifle.

  • Nice!!!

Did you chrono your loads? If so how fast are they going out of the muzzle. Just tying to compare to my 6.8 SPC. I wish we could use suppressors in FL for deer hunting...

    Thanks

  • @starbuck1776 the load used in this video was only about 3020fps. since then I've upgraded to 85 Game Kings at about 3400, and 95 Berger VLDs at about 3150.

  • steady hands, im loving it

  • nice gun

  • Nice shot but state law dictates you wear one article of orange while hunting big game.

  • @rtownleyhunter I'm well aware of SD state laws regarding hunting. Were you trying to inform me or others?

  • Camera man's gotta pee by the way he's holding that camera.

  • damn camera work made me sick

  • nice kills

  • @93DA9Guy a very inexpensive one...its time for an upgrade.

  • poor doe... that gun was sick as fuck though

  • @OriginalStonedGypsy poor doe? do you realize what would happen to the population if we shot only bucks and let all the doe run wild? Especially in this area...there is a reason you get two doe tags along with your one buck tag.

  • @theonlyrealcbass16 Yeah they would have no bucks to mate with and die off. Haha. Cool gun though. I'm a hunter too so I'm not against it obviously. I just think it's hilarious. That's our excuse to hunt "Over population."

  • @SolidSnake3131 not saying that over population should be used as an excuse because that's not usually the reason people hunt, but if you think its a funny excuse then clearly you've never witnessed it first hand.

People in this area get 3 tags in a package, (1 buck, 2 antler-less) and then only shoot the bucks. That's terrible for the herd management and gene pools.

  • @theonlyrealcbass16 You're right. I have never really witnessed it first hand. It's more or less a joke among my hunting family.

  • why is the camera man such a douche? seriously... nice shooting and all... but the guy recording is a tool. find some new friends he sounds like an idiot.

  • @mikeymike4g63 He didn't have a tripod genus!!!!

  • @jruble24 It's not the shakey camera work that makes him a douche trust me.

  • @mikeymike4g63 ok, so lets hear it then...why do you feel this way?

All the comments he makes during the video were in response to a forum discussion about how other deer in the area would react if shot with a suppressed rifle and full power loads, not subsonic ones.

  • @theonlyrealcbass16 How about the end scene where he douches it up a ton by saying "biotches" like a 15 year old turd?

  • @mikeymike4g63 LMAO... go watch your bullet "swirl" and try skinnin that smokewagon on some real flesh next time... BIOTCHHHH!!!

  • @ONEILLOPS you sound like a buffoon. stay classy "bro"

  • @mikeymike4g63 keep shreddin bro, maybe that guitar playin 'll work up some fast twich muscle fibers and you'll be able to run your rifle the real way.

  • @ONEILLOPS oh I get it, you're the guy at the end of the video saying stupid shit and got your feelings hurt by me and now you want prove to me you're intelligent by saying some more dumb shit but it's not working. Poor guy. Keep trying you might get lucky. Then again if you were the lucky type you'd be the one shooting instead of recording huh...

  • @mikeymike4g63 trust me buddy its gonna do alot more than you can dish to hurt me or my precious feelings, luck has nothing to do with me shooting the cam or the animal, you have no clue, u ever drop the hammer on a 190 class white tail, or guide a guy to a 380 class bull elk in ur back yard??? i'll tell you what you keep jammin ur string guitar and i'll keep killin shit and get paid for it!!!

  • @ONEILLOPS I'm sorry, I was under the impression you could actually form sentences. Please tell me about guitars that aren't stringed... since you deemed it necessary to make that distinction... I must say what an interesting existance you have described for us all here on youtube. We all sure wish we could be you. *plays the end of the video...* *hears your stupidity* .... oh wait nevermind.

  • @mikeymike4g63 mikey keep strummin ur guitar... maybe someday i will hear it... until then, keep practicin son.

  • @mikeymike4g63 hey Mikey, i hope no one wishes they were me, everyone has thier own purpose in this life, I watched GB last night and finally sold enough inventory to buy some new swarovs, it got me in a good mood...this is how i look @ it... you like to shoot, good deal, i love to shoot, keep doin what you love to do, take the criticism as you will, i've had plenty of death threats here for showin huntin and shootin vids, and can find alot more use of my time than throwin down with a guitarist

  • @mikeymike4g63 yup its alot more than that, lets hear ur reasons.

  • nice

  • Nice shooting and don't pay attention to the camera work comments. I have a few kills on camera myself. A tripod is a tough thing to have along whtn you are stalking. Not all hunts are from blinds and tree stands like on TV. The kill shots were spectacular at that distance!

  • @negril94 Yes they were. These people whining about the camera are use to stand hunts and their just jealous....

  • Nice. I always knew suppressors would be useful when hunting. I gotta move to a free state if I decide to get into hunting(which I intend to do!). Here in Kalifornia suppressors are illegal for the general population.

  • @PersonGuyDude1212 i hear ya. making a metal tube a regulated illegal firearm is ridiculous to say the least. The best weather in the world would no longer sway me to move to CA.

  • Good job, congrats! Its a shame when you get all these trolls slamming your vids like that. Who cares if its a little shacky. Those people who comment like that usually don't even have any vids on youtube. All you wanna do is share your expirence with other people and you get slammed. Same thing with some of my vids to....they just have nothing better to to than critisize! Good job anyway!!!

  • @OutdoorEnt Thanks, and nice channel. I don't mind the shaky camera criticism, but it does get a lil bit old when 1/3 of the comments are about the camera guy. Him and I have both since upgraded cameras and next fall should make for some VERY nice footage.

  • Your lucky, we can't hunt with cans here. Thought about going to Georgia on a wild pig hunt. But it's $550 a night, 2 night minimum. All guns and ammo supplied and thermal scopes. Still to high for me.

  • I didn't read any of the other comments. I can think for myself. It was a good video. It was just so unstable. I was really interested in the video, as I'm into cans myself. Sorry if I offended you.

  • @TypeR632 none taken, it just seems like 3/4 comments are in regard to the camera action. we've since fixed that problem with one tripod in the truck at all times, and one comes with us on hunts. Plus a new HD camera with advanced steady shot for next season

  • Worst camera man in history..

  • @TypeR632 most unoriginal comment that's shown up yet

  • Whats up with the surpresser man?

  • are you asking why I have one? or why I use one? or what? check you're local laws to make sure they are legal in your state but once you shoot with one...you'll never want to shoot without one.

  • nice hunt and at good range too!! what a perfect place to shoot, do you get to keep the kills or does the land owner keep em?

  • Awesome management hunt...you guys get er dun.

Congrats on the harvests...I thought why you taken the Doe when you said she probably got knocked up by him...then I remembered you were on a management hunt and I presume you wanted to take his genes out of the field.

He is still a nice Buck, congrats.

You got some great footage there.

I can't count how many times my tripod has been left at camp or in the truck or at home LOL.

I look for something to steady it on.

    Good hunt just the same.

  • get a tripod

  • im cool with the cam problem and im cool with the gun that looks a bit much but the terminator music is jest too much for me lol

  • Nice gun and nice shooting. Tri-pod would have been good, but it was still watchable. A good tip is elbows and camera in tight to your body when you have to shoot freehand. Not to critisize (because I know how hard it is), but your productions will be better if you ease up on the zoom also. Pick your shot (camera shot) and stick with it - no zoom in/zoom out or at least not as much and when you do... go slow and easy. Hey either way, your out there trying. great job and thanks for the post.

  • @VTHunter4Hunters oh believe me, out of 166 comments, 1/3 are from anti-hunters, 1/3 are conversation, and 1/3 are everyone giving ONEILLOPS shit for his camera work. Crappy thing is that we had 2 tripods that were left back at the house because this was just going to be a trespasser hunt. Lots of trespassers that needed to be chased off...and it turned into a management hunt. That's what ya get when you're not prepared. Tripods, Monopods and HD Footage is coming next year.

  • looks like i'm gonna have to get me tripod next time.

  • c'mon..it's not that bad...people will bitch just to bitch...hence the Brit that was on here a month back

  • @DakotaTrojan id agree, its not TERRIBLE, but it could have been better. at least he was rock steady for the kill shot. thats all that counts. trust me, he has gotten enough shit for his camera skills...just dont bring up the coyote kill he fucked up a couple weeks ago lol.

  • ya its not that bad, oh and don't brink up the kill shot cbass had @ over 350M on a yote, i missed it completely. over two weeks ago and i am pissed as hell still.

  • one word.... TRIPOD! that camera movement is going to make us sick!

  • @proinfidel he mighta been a lil too zoomed in since we didnt have the tripod along...but hey, at least he got the money shot...thats all that matters.

  • I thought that you would still be able to hear the crack from the bullet breaking the sound barrier unless you loaded it down below.

  • you can...that is about the only thing you can hear...but since there is nothing around for the sonic crack to echo off back to me (camera) its VERY quiet out in the open prairie. most of the sound the camera hears is the gas exiting the chamber as the spend round flies out and the new one is loaded. But the deer wouldn't pay any attention to that. And he wont hear the sonic crack till its too late. my bullets dont go subsonic till about 1200m. and by then they are out of gas.

  • Nope, a few limited states (like SD) allow big game hunting with a suppressor. Check with ur GF&P

  • but how much did you pay for the suppressor and paperwork? jw

  • MSRP on the can is about 700, and the tax stamp to the ATF is 200

  • isnt it illegal to use a supressor on game?

  • Yes I know. Last minute hunt, didn't have the good camera or the tripod with but at least held still when it counted. Still an archery tag to fill.

  • every vegetable crop in the world has to kill to protect its crop. if left unchecked, rabbits, rodents and deer would eat them out of business. vegans shouldn't feel morally superior to hunters...

  • & I said you dont know what the hell your talking about...electric fences do not deter coyotes one iota. Nor do coyotes frequent urban environments to hunt for table scraps. They aren't fucking raccoons. Education could be a big answer...someone should try it on you. I've been a meat eater for 28 years, I'm still alive, whats your point? I already told you studies here have shown more vegans commit suicide than hunters. get over it and go away, I have warned you about your idiocracy before.

  • just google urban coyote - they are in big cities like new york and LA and have a look at the reasons why so many are living there. I have a good education sweetie, probably better than yours. The vegetarian comment was for dan who was implying we have to eat meat to be healthy.

  • your a fucking moron if you think an electric fence is going to keep them out of a city, out of a field, out of a feed lot or out of my dogs house. No one implied we need to eat meat to be healthy, we do it cause it tastes good, getting what our bodies need, and a lot of what we don't need is a bonus, like extra grease on my pizza. We are all well aware how healthy and suicidal you kids are, with your black eye liner, lip rings and clowns with tears on your poly pocket notebook. Your done now

  • your "24h time out" is over. please feel free to visit again but just be warned of your comments. Every time you make a negative comment in regard to hunting, I will sacrifice one innocent non-game animal on your direct behalf. YOU will be directly responsible for the senseless slaughter of something that did not need to die. If you don't like hunting videos, stop searching the internet for them.

  • you sound like another idiot on here - sportbikeandhunter threatens the exact same thing. either you are lying or you are an asshole - why would you punish an animal cause of what a stranger says to you? I'm not making negative comments for the sake of it, I truly believe hunting is wrong and you people have to be told. animals cant speak for themselves.

  • DING DING, we have a WINNER!, and for not learning to just keep your mouth shut...the prize? An innocent animal gets shot, recorded, and posted on my channel for all your friends to see. Would you like to choose the animal or shall I take a facebook vote? You'll never convince a hunter that hunting is wrong...try telling someone that has never done it before if you want to make a difference. If you want to say that hunting is wrong, do it at YOUR channel with your own videos. Time to hunt.

  • well guess that decides it then - you are an ASSHOLE!!!!

  • and now you are just as guilty as any of us. All you had to do was keep your opinion to yourself...now some creature has to die. Granted...I will not make it suffer, I will not treat it any different than any other animal I would hunt...but none the less...you, being here, has caused an animal to be killed. Clicking the "Post Comment" button is just like pulling the trigger. BANG. One kill for Gilz84

  • bullshit I'm as guilty as you. thought you were all for freedom of speech? cant I have an opinion on this subject without worrying about whether you will go out and kill an animal because of what I post?

  • of course u get a voice...thats why YouTube gives YOU a channel of your own. I have allowed u to make PLENTY of posts here on my video without going to yours, now all u have to do is make one more post on my channel and u get to save a lil critter. (maybe even a cat). If u cant swallow your pride and apologize for being a hypocrite...then that is ur own issue. I leave the decision to you. Any further comments that are not as requested and the offer is null and void. Bang bang kitty kitty.

  • and on a side note...you can even SAVE one innocent animal buy going to my channel page, apologies for making statements of suggestion you know nothing about regarding a country you are not a part of and make a vow to avoid any of my hunting videos...now here is your chance to take part in the savior of an innocent animal. This is basically, YOU, taking a bullet for the innocent animals you pretend to stand up for. How bad does your heart really bleed? Live or die, the choice is yours.

  • I'm not apologising for anything. All statements I have made are valid. It is my opinion and I have a right to express them. You dont like what I say then block me again but silencing other people cause they have a different view is not the american way is it? Btw feel free to post on my channel - I also live in a democratic country that believes in freedom of speech

  • The statements about vegetarian and vegan diet are valid because you know what your talking about. The statements about solutions for over population and animal control are absurd to say the least. You don't know what your talking about in regards to wildlife, agriculture, or the USA. Democracy is all about having a choice, I gave you one. Sometimes you have to accept the fact that not all choices are good and live with the lesser of two evils. You made your choice, now live with it.

  • reason you hunt because your father did it and his father did it and so on. I was not brought up that way, I know of two people who go hunting where I live. Its very unusual up here so you are right I dont really understand it. I do know it does nothing for conservation - you kill a few deer so the rest end up thriving cause now there is less competion for food and space. how is that helping keep numbers down?

  • you DONT know what it does for conservation i guess. there are pros and cons to every debate and you and others like you lack the open mind necessary to see both sides. you dont live in a black and white cookie cutter world, as much as you'd like to, and regardless of what you learn or what you try and discredit, you will never change the minds of hunters

  • hey there mr cosmopolitian south dakota bachelor 2006! Funny how in your interview you dont mention the fact you kill animals for fun. would have been a real vote loser huh?

  • Actually, if they would have asked...I would have told them. The same goes for the recent video interview I did for an upcoming show with ABC. They loved it. And I wasn't voted in...I was singled out by staff and hand picked by Kate White, Editor in Chief of Cosmo.

  • well I hope you're gonna post that video. what were they interviewing you about?

  • i cant post the video or talk about the show till after casting is over. It's in the contract.

  • In response to your last response.

    Read a fucking book.

First of all, start off with a basic intro to statistics, specifically paying attention to the chapter on sampling. Oh and here's an interesting tidbit: people who eat fish,no meat, have an even greater lifespan than vegans.

Second, whatever you're referring to as evolution is something completely different. We call that abiogenesis, and has very little to do with the theory of evolution. It's more about chemistry.

  • I have always acknowledged that humans are omnivores I was just making a point that you can live without meat.

Abiogenesis is the study of how life could have come from inanimate matter. Evolution is how different species arise over a certain period of time through mutations. I was simply saying all living things are connected to each other.

  • Comment removed

  • Gilz your an idiot

  • Gilz84

Your lack of knowledge on multiple subjects is painfully apparent.

First of all, evolution does NOT say we come from one singular animal. The tree is only a simplified construct to help visualise the way phylogenic changes take place for a certain species to come about.

In fact, the mistake you make by saying this is the same one made by creationists when they demand proof towards the existence of a once land roaming "croca-duck". You're just another faux-intellectual atheist.

  • On the non-necessity of meat and derived animal products.

B12 is a vitamin that is INTRICATE in the production of red blood cells and proper development of the nervous system. Also due to this same fact, it can only be obtained through animal derived products in its most effective chemical form. Even supplements in food that vegans claim can make up for this are only half true because the body does not metabolise this cheap synthetic mass produced B12 as well as the naturally produced molecule.

  • well I have been vegeterain for almost 10 years and I am still alive. My friend who is now 19 has been vegetarian all her life. In fact a study here recently showed vegetarians lived on average 3 years longer than meat eaters.

  • Evolution says all life originated from one single celled organism floating about the ocean billions of years ago. Invertebrates to vertebrates to amphibians to reptiles to birds to mammals - we are all connected.

  • na na the yote vid is gonna be for sale early spring, over 30 kills, including fox and bobcat, and by the way quit giving the camera man shit!!! ha ha ha.

  • yeah...sorry fellas...we usually have 2 cameras, one with a tripod and the other for the action and motion stuff...we forgot the one with the tripod when we took this trip. NEXT YEAR THOUGH...WATCH OUT.

Should be getting some bad ass coyote videos out sometime around the holidays.

  • Nice shooting. The only thing I would change is don't let your camera man drink before he films.

  • Nice video, my only suggestion...get your cameraman a tripod! ;-)

  • Hate to break it to you, but ever thought that plants are living things too? They need light, food, and water to survive, just like animals. It might be too deep for you to comprehend, but you're just as big a killer as those who hunt. Huge plots of plants or animals, they all get reaped and sowed for what they're worth. Some animal populations have to be kept under supervision, otherwise they would run rampant. They would eat all your precious veggies that you care so much about.

  • The big difference between plants and animals is that animals are sentient beings. If you are going to say plants are the same as animals because they need food and water then you might as well say plants are the same as humans.

  • you missed the point again Gilzy...Kotton isnt saying plants are the same as humans, or that plants are the same as animals, but that ALL LIVING THINGS ARE NOT EQUAL TO HUMANS. oh, and there are numerous sentient plants as well. I hope nothing chops them down and eats them. If your defense is that animals have the ability to be aware of sensations, then all i have to say is when they evolve enough to utter, "dont kill me" in english, I'll maybe lay off the trigger. Maybe

  • So because animals haven't developed a complex language like ourselves that makes it ok to kill them? Would you kill a primate like a chimpanzee?

  • if they tasted good and it was legal to hunt them...of course.

  • even though they are so closely related to humans? do you believe we evolved from apes or do you believe what the bible says?

  • my religious beliefs would be irrelevant considering that if i DO NOT believe what the bible says, I'd hunt whatever I wanted free of guilt. and if I DO believe what the bible says...I'd fit right in...they all ate meat. do i believe in cannibalism. no. do i believe it still happens around the world. yes.

  • Actually I think they do matter. I believe in evolution and that all life on earth came from the one same organism. Ever seen the tree of life? We are connected to everything and the further up the tree you go the more complex (and intelligent) the organisms get. It's a good reason to be pro animal rights because it shows we all share a common ancestor. When you gut an animal you will find the same organs that a human has.

  • well from your point of view, it's survival of the fittest then. A lot of animals are more than equipped to defend themselves from hunters, the white tail deer kills more people in the US than any predator we have. They can hear better, see farther, run faster and jump higher. They have a natural camouflage that makes them near impossible to spot when they stop moving.

  • In nature its survival of the fittest, it does not apply to humans anymore. We have completely removed ourselves from the natural world. Nothing natural about technology such as guns, no animal has a chance against them. Case in point, the two deer in your video.

  • case in point? what you don't see are the 50-100 that I hunted for 2 months prior to this. All lived to fuck another day. We humans haven't removed ourselves from the natural world. We have simply advanced. nothing natural about driving a car to work, or planting a 120ft wide path of soy beans in one swipe with John Deere's DB120 planter either but you sure as hell appreciate that. and guns dont kill animals, hunters do. all animals have more than equal chance against human hunters.

  • Its the gun that enables you to kill the animal, you could never do it without weapons. 50 - 100? Lol. Are they that difficult to hunt or are you just really crap at it?

  • It is not the gun that enables me to kill, I hunt archery as well, both re-curve as well as compound. Yes, I have seen 50-100 deer cross my path this year, having the ability to kill them does not mean that I would choose to. Yes, deer can be very difficult to hunt as i have said before. They can see, hear, and smell me before I even know where they are at. You're limited knowledge of hunting becomes more and more apparent as you've said I'm crappy at it and that I'm a poor shot.

  • no hunter wants to go out on the first day of the season and shoot the first deer that walks past....thats killing, not hunting. after 2 months, a hunter will get to know the wildlife he hunts. being able to distinguish one animal from the next. Often, hunters have nicknames for the one they are trying to hunt, as well as names for the ones that will be saved for years to come.

  • I thought you were hunting to keep the population down so what does it matter if you kill the first deer you see. What do you think of hunting competitions where the winner is the one who kills the most coyotes, wolves whatever?

  • we shoot any coyote that has mange...and around here, thats the majority. Coyote Contests are a good way to stop mange from spreading to cattle or pets.

  • If you want to stop mange spreading to pets and cattle then use precautions to keep coyotes away like keep pets in at night, dont leave food outside, get an electric fence or guard animals for livestock. Its understandable that coyotes are attracted to where people are cause thats where they can easily get food. Again its a case of animals suffering because of human error.

  • you are seriously like 1 idiotic comment away from getting blocked. If you want to make a comment on where to get some good tofu, or how to steam broccoli, then by all means, chime in, but try and avoid topics you have no knowledge or experience with, hunting, agriculture, farming and Americanism are a few you avoid. fences dont deter wildlife, especially ones as small as coyotes and they are not even remotely attracted to where people live, nor can they easily get food from humans.

  • And the high carcinogenic risk associated with the manipulation of sex hormones in animals undermines any advantages of using hormone-laced biscuits as a population control method. Would it be better for deer to die from tumors caused by fluctuating steroid levels?

  • Not to mention...our current form betrays our historical evolution from a long lineage of carnivorous homonids. Not only do we not have the digestive enzymes to break down plant cell walls, but we are lacking the long digestive tract inherant to other omnivores. Also, if no hunting of snow geese or Canada geese were to occur in SD, crop fields would quickly be dessimated by out of control migrating bird populations and food reserves would suffer...no soybeans to make tofu :-(

  • I dont deny the fact that humans are omnivores but we can live without eating meat.

  • and 99+% chose not to. amazing.

  • there's a notable difference between animal rights and animal welfare....wildlife management policy is concerned with animal welfare. overpopulation is a huge concern for increased disease transmission and a decreased quality of life. there is also a difference between individuals who go to the store and purchase the meat they consume verus hunters who aren't removed from the death experience...there's nothing pleasant about watching a deer take its final breath.

  • Which is why hunters know the difference between hunting for food or sport and hunting to kill. We limit what we hunt and we regulate how we do it. Isn't it strange that after each hunting season there are MORE DEER and more HEALTHY DEER in any given area in the country. People dont go kill as many animals as we can...we take what we can eat, or provide it to those that need it. Come to a food bank in South Dakota in Feb and try feeding homeless people Tofu, you might get your ass beat down

  • I would have thought if you were homeless you would be thankful for any food you got including tofu

  • Try it...there is a better chance of a homeless south dakota person killing your cat and eating it raw than waiting in line to eat tofu. If you provided them with food, but restricted it to vegan...they'd be on the highway hitchhiking to the next city by lunch time.

  • I have no plans to come to south dakota in the near future. Why dont you try it and let me know how you get on.

  • I have stood in line feeding homeless at the soup kitchen and I have cooked for people at the local Senior Center, I'd never try and LIMIT THE DIET of someone that was hungry...that would be inhumane.

  • Well good for you but honestly if someone was really starving they would happily eat anything they get. You would be doing them a favour actually. I'm gonna say it again - veggie food is much better for you than meat.

  • and I'm gonna say it again, it is remarkably hypocritical to limit the food that a starving person is allowed to eat.

  • A vegan diet would be far more sustainable for people all over the world. 800 million are starving in this world and every two seconds a child dies of malnutrition somewhere. Food in poorer countries is used to feed animals which in turn will be sold as meat to richer nations. If 5 hectres of land were used to grow soya it would feed roughly 30 people. Use that land for growing animal feed to then be turned into meat, you would feed far less.

  • And yet your country doest provide either one in a substantial amount to make a difference ANYWHRE in the world, You're not even in the top 10.

We provide more than 80 Million metric tons of soy beans...You buy your soy from US and then criticize the Americans that provide it. Try and find an American farmer that provies your soy that doesnt have bacon and eggs for breakfast, Burgers for dinner, and steak for supper. I would rather you just say thank you and be on your way.

  • 5 hectares is 12.5 acres btw. We get soya from Argentina, Brazil, China and India, not just the US. Meat production is wasteful, environmentally damaging and worst of all the industry doesnt give a stuff about the animals it uses - money is all thats important.

  • my previous comment was misinformed...but knowing that you are referring to 12.5 acres only makes my point MORE valid. One cow on that same 12 acres will produce conservatively 400lbs of meat and about 4-6 gallons of milk every day of her milking period. Thats enough for 100 people to have a glass of milk every day or 1200 people to enjoy one quarter pound burger and the big kids get to have 2. your knowledge of grain and livestock is obviously limited.

  • Yeah but youre not including how much feed that animal needs. And I am sure you have heard all about cows being the biggest methane producers on the planet?

  • 1/2 left to corn, 1/4 to alfalfa, 1/4 to grass to walk around on...and I think Vegans are officially the largest producers of bull shit...so that settles that.

  • cornell university scientist - "US could feed 800 million people with the grain it gives to livestock". Btw a local animal shelter that rescues chicken also sells their eggs. They will not be going to a slaughterhouse and the money from the sale of the eggs goes to help the shelter, so I dont need to become a complete vegan after all.

  • We could feed 800 million people...the same people that dont want our help for anything else, that bitch because "America is trying to be the world police" Well we sure as hell shouldnt be "the world soup kitchen" either then. We feed it to our beef because the people that grow the grain, and the people that raise the livestock would rather eat meat. I have said it numerous times...what have you done lately to combat the evil meat eaters. Blogging on the net is the pussy way out.

  • So you only care about the people in america that are starving then? What have I done you ask? Well I make sure my family and friends know the issues behind animal rights. My mum will not eat lamb cause I showed her video of lambs being slaughtered, I will not sit and eat with anyone if they have foie gras or veal and if I go to restaurants that serve either I tell them my feelings about it and refuse to go back until they take them off the menu. Lots of little things like that.

  • ABSOLUTELY! You talk about trying to artificially control animal populations in the US so we dont have to hunt. The ONLY reason there are so many starving people around the world is cause they don't STOP FUCKING. Generation after generation is born into poverty &a
