Yea.. this truck OWNS, I have one, FIX THE DAMN ESC's, I watched 100 youtube videos and read 100 forum postings saying the ESC will blow, I talk to HPI Directly they tell me less than 1% of cars coming back with ESC problems, my LHS says 14 trucks sold, one comes back with problem.
I run a 2 cell lipo 25c 5700mah and 4th pack... Servo works no throttle response at all, no motor whirling or any significance the motors doing anything, but ESC has green light for go red for brakes..
@matt889 Run the vehicle within its limits. You're running extreme brusless setups like these with the icorrect gearing, in the summer with no cooling, and run till you hit the LVC. Treat things proper, check temps, time your runs a, and you'll have a lot less failures. Remember, it's a hobby, not just playing with a toy.
@rcmen13 can't be any worse then anything made by traxxas that need a ton of RPM parts to kinda make it durable. the xs just needs some tie rods and some shock ends and your good to go.cheap and ezy plus HPI back up there stuff much better then traxxas. but to ech his own i guess. some people just like money pit head acks but i don't
@hbxhpikyosho ohh yes i had shredded plenty of plastic drive shafts and striped plenty of tranny gears on traxxas crap. i don't feel like i should pay such a high price for a RC just to spend more rebuilding the hole thing just to play with it. later friend
yeah, driveline sucks as well... I can't see how Traxxas can cost the same or more than other brands like HPI and others... as on my traxxas vehicles I've spent more than the vehicle itself on just replacement parts, and on my HPI's I can count the times they've broke on my fingers(less than 10) lol :P
@hbxhpikyosho same with me thats why i gave away all my traxxas crap. traxxas is all begginer RC witch the price should reflect that but it don't. at lest when my HPI stuff finally breaks HPI stands behind it and sends me a new part free of charge. traxxas never would and just told me to go up grade it. LMFAO even they know they sold me junk. haha
@ryanrummler better then what? the big savage flux HP? that is the only comparable truck to a Erevo and if you havent noticed the savage flux has a great rep for being the best basher ever made. but if your stupid enough to compair the XS vs the full size revo well your just dumb. compair the xs vs the mini revo then hands down the XS is faster more durable and handles much better once you change out the ESC or are lucky to get a good one. theyare castle witch revo has to. now what?
