  • Changeable climate is a proof so everyone should action in saving earth.

  • very interesting videos

  • this is really interesting

  • replacing coal? isnt it hard?

  • ehhh more propaganda

  • For everyone on here getting angry at the propaganda you have to understand that the coal industry will dig their heels in and fight the construction of a competing renewables sector regardless of what we say.

Give them CCS for now. It reduces greenhouse gases and gives us more time to receive funding in renewable energy. The transition will not happen overnight. It never does when fighting a group with this much power and wealth.

  • bullshit sugar coated lies, coal is not the solution

  • Hey climate change is NOT a problem and the problem that we face is YOU losers and your disgraceful lies. Go to hell.

  • our country is run by faceless bureaucrats, big business, the special interest lobby groups...& our elected government(s) just service these interests & give us placating lip service on a falsified basis of progress...remember there only ever going to serve there own interests.

  • what a load of crap.

  • I get it now, enjoying the benefits of mining and exporting coal makes it worthwhile making the planet unlivable for millions of people. Solar, wind, hydro, geothermal all have a greater body of proof than clean coal that they are technically and economically viable energy sources. But the coal industry would profit less from them, hence this ad.

  • @felchty It is so easy to sit there and say things like that, but if it were that easy, people would just boycott coal.

Like the video says though, we need it for electricity. I agree that we've got to increase renewables and decrease fossil fuels... but it isn't a magic switch. We have to phase across, and I think it is a good thing that the coal people are saying that we need to use renewables too.

  • @TheEliBelli Actually, people are boycotting coal.

In NSW last year 1 in 10 households were paying more on their electricity bills to get their energy from sources other than coal, and this figure is rising at about 15% per year.

My point is that no money should be invested in 'clean' coal because its main purpose is not to reduce carbon pollution (because it can't do so, at least not at a competitive price) but to convince the public that it is ok to rely on coal as an energy source.

  • @TheEliBelli 'Clean' coal is like when the tobacco industry put filters on cigarettes to give people the feeling they can smoke without ruining their health.....

  • Recap: 10kgs of coal per house p.d. Coal is cheap, we have low rates, coal matters, 80% sold overseas, $55BN worth, number 1 export, reduction means we could loose tax which funds schools, hospitals and roads. Coal supports rail, ports and damns. Coal matters, emplying 37k people / 160k indirectly.

    As a process:

    1. Create well produced, misleading media strategy and website

    2. Talk up $1BN to stick byproduct deep underground

    3. Include uplifting music

    4. Trash the country

    5. PROFIT

  • I am all for "going green" but I refuse to be taxed for breathing-- yes, you exhale CO2. Storing it under ground is the most retarded thing I have ever heard. There is enough available energy in Geothermal to last 20,000 years. There's your single solution.

  • @daftspunk1 I absolutely agree with you and also, why not just print more money and buy solar,hydro...ect things???

  • FLAGGED AS THE SCAM THAT IT IS Google 30,000 scientists sue al gore for FRAUD. history is FULL of conspiracies, this one takes the cake.
