@bladerj Zack isn't human. He is SOLDIER. SOLDIER operatives have mako running through their them. It basically gives them powers and stuff. That's what he can bring a sword to a gunfight.

Judging by the final scene, he wasn't shot in the head. When he's giving the sword to Cloud, he's got bullet holes in his chest only.

Also if you look at the end at 0:43 the grunt looked like he doesn't want to do it, but someone else with command over him gave him an order.

sucks cuz in the game u noticed that Zack takes down almost the whole army, but after being shot multiple times, he doesn't have enough strength to take out the last 3 guys and then he takes the fatal headshot. R.I.P. Zack. Cloud will avenge u!!

@Blackflame24 Right after this scene (i dont know if you've seen it or not) It shows Zack lying on the ground with the 3 soldiers looking at him to see if he is dead or not and the screen fades out. Then Zack starts remembering Aerith. He sees flashes of her and hears her voice and then remembers the last words he heard Aerith say to him "I'll be here" After that the screen fades out again and you hear Zack slowly getting up, then you hear a hail of gunfire for like 20 seconds. It's really sad..

@Blackflame24 I don't think it was so much as the critical head shot but the fact that zack got so riddled with bullets that he bleed to death. I thought aeriths and general leos deaths were the saddest in ff history but zacks is at least 10x as sad.

@keanxd96 in my opinion the shinra did report that Zack and Sephiroth is dead. yeah sephiroth was killed by cloud and they need to kill zack to confirm their report and leave everyone to confirm that he is dead. its tragic.

@MrJaxxie Not quite...it was simply because they made this cruel experiments with both of them and the did not want them to tell anybody what happened after the Nibelheim incident. And it was because they didn't know what Cloud and Zack where going to do (remember, they both got implanted with Jenova-cells, so they could be a danger to ShinRa). But you got a point too. It was one of their evil games. :(
