  • Eric Macintyre would dig this. He's conducting or something up north. His french horn got him a gig in Europe @ The Brahms something...

  • Brilliant

  • protestant7 Many thanks from Lima, Perú. The descendant melodic pattern of the strings in the 3rd mov, falls like a shower of transparent & fresh water under the sun of that far & transcendant shore at the extreme of the Earth where all of us want to be when we are teenagers! That is the magic of baroque music, its capacity to forebear the essential & polyaedrical dreams & longings of youth (love, space, innocence, heroism, tenderness, purity, etc, etc.)!

  • truly divine music.

  • une splendeur d'entre les splendeurs

  • Bellissimoo O.O Lo adoro questo concerto <3

  • Thank you very much, tettigometra. I gaze at the painting as I'm in awe of both the music & the painting! Not much 'niceness' around these days.

  • Can some please tell me what the painting is?

  • @orocatus It's a view of Piazza Navona, in Rome. The painter is Giovanni Antonio Canal (a.k.a. Canaletto), 1697-1768.

  • @tettigometra Its form is dictated by the fact that it had been a circus at the time of the Roman Empire.

  • Sublime music. What more can anyone wish for?
