  • Just a shame the proffessions are useless at level 50(except for biochem of course)

  • Tried a couple RD's logmein teamviewer, but I keep getting the same issue when trying to do anything in swtor... Black screen, is there a setting I need to adjust? Assistance would be appreciated. FYI works great when not having swtor open

  • It's just a remote for your computer, however. But doing anything else than simple tasks would be so clunky on a touch device it's not worth it.

  • When you think about it your mouse and keyboard are remotes. They give you a way to communicate with the computer and tell it what you want to do. Why would using a mobile device like a phone to communicate with your computer be any different than using a keyboard and mouse. Not to mention why do you care if they do say its against the rules, not like they can detect it unless they hack your computer.

  • Yea of course it should be allowed. If Bioware have a problem with this they have a problem with the 21st century.

  • Hey Mike. First off i love all your vids. Second, i was wondering if you can put up more WOW PVP content like your WSG commentary. IT was a awesome vid. Cheers

  • This is what all gaming phones should be like and build in software for! Totally LOVE IT! Gaming Phones of MMRPG. They will sell the phones and give the MMORPG away for free with a month subscription of about $9.99 US %10 to the for hosting it and %60 for upgrades and maintaining it. %30 Profit!

  • it is like WoW armoary where you can do your AH stuff when you not online

  • Now that slicing got nerfed this is probably just a quick way to burn through all your credits.

  • Now try pvping on ur mobile phone

  • Should definitely be allowed another level for mobile gaming!

  • I used LogMeIn when I went to uni to check on my darkfall char remotely

  • loose the trimmed pussy beard.

  • Use splashtop, its much better than teamviewer and runs games quite good.

  • Swtor Crew Skills should be an iOS game. =]

  • @JoshDJX1 lol yeah click 1 button wait 3 mins, that's gonna be fun :p

  • TeamViewer has an Android version as well. I'm sure some of the others probably do too, but I haven't used any of them.

  • HOW DOES THIS GUY HAVE SO FEW VIEWS ???

    Explain this bullsh!t

  • @KalecAmagosh Because this is a well known fact.

  • Sounds like Guild Wars 2 extended experience.

  • Give it time and we will see a crew skill app from Bioware. I would be shocked if it required a sub like Blizzard's app but we will see.

  • You still have to play the game to do it so, nothing wrong with it. Its just a really high tech remote control.

  • It's like Tiny Tower but with Lightsabers!

  • It's still you doing the things, just through a remote desktop app. Nothing wrong with that.

  • Like everyone else is saying, yes. It's just making it more portable like a laptop would. As long as the app doesn't have any form of scripting or macros in it that would give you an "advantage" over other players on computer, then it is allowed.

  • could totally blow parents mind with dat

  • @rayaraay Not good when you use bad grammar to dis someone

  • Should probably be allowed. I mean, if anything it would give you a disadvantage trying to actually play that way. I don't think BioWare will be like "If you want to play our game you do it from your computer, not the toilet!"

  • There need to be an app for your crew skills. But good idea.

  • Should this be allowed?

    ..................yes?

Why should I not be able to access my game on the go with a device that connects to my computer? I don't see a good reason to be against letting people manage their auction house, ect while away from their comp.

  • cool! no rules are broken and you can play from anywhere. Have fun.

  • Omfg get a live? or not...

  • It does not work with some games. Blizzard forexample makes most standard VNC/Remote Desktop viewers return a black screen when it is played over such program.

  • hey whats my favorite pet's name?

  • You can do this on your Smartphone :)

  • @Xentozz

He showed us a section on his smartphone... Derp

  • Creative use of mechanics, clearly not an exploit!

  • That is really cool!!! I may have to try it out. But I do think that Bioware needs to make an app that lets you do the crew skills on your phone or something.

  • mike too much games not enough walkies....break free break free

  • My step dad is doing this on his Motorola Xoom

  • Definitely allowed imo

  • Darnell says No, mikeb.

  • Anyone that complains is just jealous they don't have a device that can do it.

  • I can do it with WoW

  • @piccolo372

    I can.

It's not a game specific iPad app, it's an app that remotely controls your computer.

  • This has been possible for a few years now, as it's simply using screen capture and remote desktop technologies. Your PC still needs to be left on, and your PC needs to be accessible via IP in some form.

It would be practical to give your crew companions tasks if it functioned through a simple text-based BioWare app. The solution in this video is not practical.

  • @Bluecewe Lets bust his balls for having some fun.

  • I do use Teamviewer from WOW to to check out AH pick om stuff in mail boks and sell stuff... much better then paying the 3$ fee for the AH on ur smartfone...

  • this game just gets more and more epic! :D

  • Swtor-ception! :o

  • you can also use remote touch if you are using a windows mobile phone

  • I've actually been using splashtop on my kindle fire for the same thing, works rather well as an android alternative

  • Looks great if u have the gadget for it.

  • Yo, dawg!

  • Fony the magic I-pad man he can do it all! except make heroic leap work.

  • just like the phrase "Clever use of game mechanics." but on a whole different level:

    aka Clever use of irl...

  • Of course it should be allowed, there is nothing much they can do about it. It's just remote desktop... Only people that don't really understand the technology will bitch and moan about it. I've used this for WoW Auction house too before remote AH came out.

  • Splashtop, probably the most useful app I've got for my iphone. The app your using on the iPad looks extremely laggy. I often use Splashtop to sit watching videos from my PC streamed fullscreen onto my phone/iPad as the sound is also streamed across. It supports control over the internet outside your local network) too but I've not tested that.

  • You're still the one playing the game, really isn't anything at all wrong with it.

  • Its the same thing as putting on another PC/Laptop and playing maybe WoW on another. Just turn your head and click a few times, jump and etc.

  • kewl stuff thanks for posting this Mike :D

i don't see anythign wrong with this at all. it's really no different than if you were palying on a lap top it's just maybe more portable and less cumbersome.

happy holidays Mike best to ya, have fun and be safe!

  • gj mike!

  • there is NOTHING wrong about this. This is the exact same thing as watching tv in one room and setting a timer on your phone to go back into your study and resend your companions. LITERALLY the same thing. you are still playing THROUGH a computer, you are still a TOOL/APP to help you keep track of your companions. Like mike b said, this isn't a script or a mod. It's just added convenience.

  • You're not violating the ToS so I don't see how this could be perceived as cheating. Keep on grinding those gathering skills Mike.

  • Does that mean you can be like out at dinner and just able to check back with the game that is on the comp at your house? I dont see anything wrong with it, it isnt like a BOT or anything. You are still using up minutes in your life playing the game, just not doing it from your computer. Perfectly fine

  • seems legit, dont see any reason for this to be wrong. its still a person mashing the buttons

  • This is what I use while at work.

Teamviewer on a Galaxytab connected to the Wifi at work.

  • this is just..awesome

  • I heard you like remote control...

  • way to correct that grammar mike lol

  • the mic is so weird when you go completely quiet

  • First
