I had Grimlock only and in those days there were only shops no ebay! Lol my Mum and I walked round town for hrs back in 86 trying to find swoop my favourite one but I never found it ever in the shops! I kept Grimlock ( tho I didn't realise he was called that ) anyway I kept him for 27 years and I just given him to my 5 year old son.

Slag's rear legs move more at the hip than the review indicates. It's just that they can be REALLY stiff.

I have all five of these guys now, but sadly the only complete one is Grimlock. I've been getting them used one by one, and collecting their weapons. That's been the hard part.

Swoop was a great deal: a little less than $40 for a Swoop that had both launchers, the sword, and one missile. His head had come off, but all the bits were included and it was easy to re-attach.

I still have these dudes from when they came out. I had no idea Swoop would be worth anything. I liked him the least.

Swoop and Gnarl were never to be found in the local toy stores when i was a kid but the other three i played with as a child :) love these vids :D aww childhood memories. I think Slag is still lying in an attic box somewhere without his horns :/ fun to see the transformers you never got to see or play with as a kid :)

I ALWAYS wondered when I was a kid; considering the Dinobots were a team... why did they never join to form a gestault?! I mean seriously fellow 'botnuts... The cartoon Dinobots bare no relation to their tech specs (the Marvel comics were far more authentic).

Only Sludge is stupid. Grimlock is a hard bastard who hates Optimus Prime's leadership. Slag and Snarl are borderline Decepticons, and Swoop is the only real Autobot of the group.

Yup. The Diaclone series of toys that the transformers were based on werent sentient, they were piloted mecha. The little door is a leftover from their Diaclone days.

Really like your Transformer reviews..

Only had Slag, Sludge & Snarl as a kid sadly..

I always remember snarl being my favorite because of all the really cool gold plastic on him, it gave him a real touch of class..

I do however remember being disappointed that my Slag wasn't the version with the red head & white thighs i remember thinking that version looked the coolest & was the closest looking one to the show version..

One con though, The autobots' last line of defense is actually Omega Supreme.

Yeah, that would have been really cool!! I have seen some pics of some the the Jap G1Dinobots, some of them look cool, but I think we got the best 5 Dinobots that where released.
