Question about Creed's Silver Mountain Water. I bought a 2.5ml sample. I thought it was great. I bought a 2.5 oz bottle, smelled different, but I thought it was me. The sample is "lot C3508G03", the bottle "lot CF03Y07", a shorter string, and the box the bottle came in has the bar code on the bottom and "SILVERMOUNT25". I bought this about a year ago, and haven't worn the bottle much. Anyone know about Creed's serial numbers, and if I got a fake. The bottle has a funny aftersmell.

I just bought a bottle of A*Men 3.4 Rubber Flask on Ebay from a big seller with over 30K sales with all positive reviews just about and everything looked legit except for one oddity. The box was still in the clear wrap, but when I opened it the Mugler code on the inside flap had been cut out. Like with a razor blade that peeled it off while not cutting through to the other side. @Wessidebrotha - Be very careful because Amazon.com can't guaranty that the seller will provide you with a genuine product. 2 years ago, I bought a box of 8 razor blades of Gillette Fusion from a seller through Amazon.com. I realized that they where counterfeited only when I started shaving and found out that the blades were dull, unlike those I used to buy at Walmart; some were even broken. Be careful. Make sure that you can return the product if you realize that it's fake.

Hey i bought a Jean Paul Gultier Le Male the other day from Fragrancenet and got it in today. From what i know a perfume that is fake doesn't have a number that is the same on the box as on the bottle and also the details oft the bottle have to be engraved onto the bottom. On a fake bottle the details are on a sticker that is glued on the bottom.

also most of the time fakes leak, because the bottles are cheap with no quality control and the necks on the bottles typically are not perfect. Also as far as street vendors go, with the perfume being in the sun, that has no effect on the smell or how long it lasts, the only thing it may effect is the pigment of the perfume. If your in a flea market or a street fair, a good way to tell is spray yourself, walk around and see if still smells 20 mins later. The knock offs do not last

I just wanted to add a few things, There are alot of very honest street vendors, myself being one, however if a street vendor has all the hottest fragrances in perfect condition, and they want $20 each for all different brands and companies they are 9/10 times fake. usually a street vendor will have a mix of things and if they have the hottest perfumes out, they will be just discounted from regular retail price. Also the number on the bottom is just a batch number

Parfum1 and ScentedMonkey have been reliable for me thus far. I usually buy fragrances from these online discounters that are only a handful of years old so I don't get stuck with an old bottle. The only exception is if the fragrance has been discontinued for a while then it doesn't matter how old the bottle is. Discounter stores like Marshalls and TJ Maxx are also great places that I check often. For my niche fix I buy samples and even bought a bottle at LuckyScent.

there's no real time limit on this, but if well taken care of I have bottles that have lasted several years. If it's chilled (wine coolers are awesome) I believe these things can be good as long as you live.

Fragrance net?

What about some of the fragrance stores in the mall, some of them would actually be a store with windows,and glass counters, not ones that are in the middle of people walking, but yeah, what about those?

quadplyr...department stores are save...places like Macy's ,JC Penney or places like Fragranceville....but the vendors in the middle of the mall floor i would not trust...

I see you have the Lolita Lempicka au Masculin limited edition there. So can you tell me how it is comparing to the original LLaM? I see the limited edition available on LL website and they says that it is "a different take" on the original. I'm very curious because LLaM is one of my favorite right now.

The LE to my nose is the same great scent as the original just in a different bottle. Sorry to dissapoint but it's the same juice inside. So don't waste your money unless your a collector
