This is a great tool for education and entertaining, but as an egyptian fanataic, i have to point out: the first step is too clean the body. The heart is put back into the body, not into a canopic jar. The brain is taken out as a liquid, not intact. After removing the organs, you're suppose to pack the body full of salt and other things that will dry out the body, and let the body dry completely for ~40 days. Then you clean the body a second time with all the ointments and good smelly stuff.

When you mummify a body you have to take the heart out to dry it. Then you wrap wrap it and replace it in the body. If you don't, the heard will decompose inside the drying out body, and the whole mummification process will be ruined.

haha! I showed this to my fifth grade students. They quickly pointed out that 1- the brain is supposed to be "scrambled" and poured out the nose (gross, but true. Hey, it got them interested!), 2- the heart stays in so that, according to Ancient Egyptian beliefs, it can be weighed against the feather of truth to determine if the person can enter the afterlife. No one can say I didn't teach them well!
