I can't think of another singer-songwriter who also raps this well. Mat is quite a unique artist! I saw him open for John Mayer in Mansfield, MA once and I was very impressed with his freestyle rapping - he improvised new verses of the song "Undeniable" to tell us about his experience visiting Providence, RI. It was pretty cool for us Rhode Islanders in the audience to hear a personalized performance like that. :)
