Govt. managed HC plan in Britain led expansion of their system such that it is now the 3rd largset employer (after Chinese army and Indian Railways). Any talk about change to remove inefficiencies leads to talks about loss of livelihood/jobs. I DONT want to link quality of HC with loss of livehood. Thats downright immoral.
The number of innovations and breakthroughs that has come from market controlled health-care far outweighs than that has come state-controlled ones. 1) The govt. managed programs (Medicare, Veteran care, stc) are not sustainable financially. Hence similar govt.-managed policies cannot be allowed for universal health-care plans
2) Market-controlled health-care plans are way more innovative and ensure competition better than govt. managed health-care plans
3) Health-care plans managed by govt.s expand irreversibly. And that creates moral problems of discussions of livelihood/jobs loss even if the results are not desirable.

Reforms do need to be made most definitely. But THIS REFORM, is not at all what we need. The government eliminating any private sector is never good. The government forcing people to enroll on THEIR plan (especially one concerning life and death such as healthcare) is WRONG. There are reforms that can be made to make health insurance more affordable and more available that cost NOTHING but instead they propose this nonsense. This is not ok.

1) We already have expensive, wasteful govt-run healthcare programs, medicaid for example. Now imagine if we could make a program that is efficient and less costly to tax-payers. 2) There are ppl in this ctry such as senior citizens and the disabled who need help. They can't work to make enough. Let's help them out. 3) You're not being forced to take this program. You can opt out and pay your own private insurance.
