I have some of my real hair left out in the front but my hairstylist did cut side bangs into the extentions because I wanted side bangs and I didn't want to cut my hair that was left out because it's inches longer than the side bangs(that's why you can see the longer piece when I am curling the front section of my hair). I was looking in the information box above an I do agree when using oil sheen while curling your hair it appears the hair will end up looking lifeless. I have done this numerous of times and always wonder WHY would my hair appear to look limp.

I would take my time in the back and take small pieces of hair, by the time I got to the front/top I would take huge sections as well but over the years I've gotten more patient, plus I like the way it turns out when I take my time and use smaller sections of hair.
