@apocalyptoist I studied at Cardiff Uni from 2003-2006. Loved it - is a great uni and a fantastic city to be a student. Finding work was dead easy, I just joined one of the job agencies & the uni actually has its own as well.

Being 50% French & 50% Welsh... I would say that the welsh people are very warm with a cold weather... South of france is different !!

Cardiff is as ugly as a pube. So keen to get rid of 'real' architechture whereas modern buildings that they are creating there look tatty and they will in a few years look more tatty as the material is of slack quality

I couldn't agree more! Whoever is in charge of planning in Cardiff should be lined up and frowned upon. Or shot. From its inception, Cardiff has had little architectural soul, what remnants it has are being torn for the sake of some misguided attempt at innovation which gives us gems such as a 75,000 seater stadium in a city centre. Awful, awful, awful, awful.
