I just start to learn ASL recently, am hard of hearing. I can sign some simple words now. I joined a great deaf daing site, ----Deafornot dot c om----, and met some good deaf/HOH friends over there. They help me to learn ASL.
Ha ha, Cosmic story! I'm from Oxford, UK and i always watch the famous boat race between Oxford University and Cambridge University on thames in london... but this one's best cos Deaf won the race!

LOL!! Did you know that we did have a Deaf team in Dragonboat races in Canada. We were the FIRST Deaf team to compete. (We got 4th in our division). After that other Deaf teams join us. We did not use Drum though, we used Paddle to stomp bottom of boat to feel vibration and we made the referees use a Flag instead of a starter pistol. :) Way to go Deaf!
