@dbage46 Hey hey hey, it can be done.... think about it though, John Petrucci could play this fast in 1989-90 probably, but this song is from 2003... I'm willing to bet, as a musician my self, that it CAN be done, you CAN put feeling on 13 notes a second, but it takes an unbelieveable amount of time that the average person will not have, it's not their job to play.

Your playing is amazing, it will keep getting better still, even if little by little and i'm sure you can someday do it.

yeah, this specific solo is not ABOUT feeling. And yes maybe on it's own it sounds just like a huge jumble of fast notes, but what makes this solo cool is the rhythm section that plays behind it (as with MANY solos), and especially the cool bassline that John Myung is cranking out.
