Its always tough to balance how much someone like Kathleen could contribute as a V.P. when we know what a great job they're doing in their home state. Someone like her has a huge long term impact on her state's perception of blue candidates. Governors tend to be viewed through a far less partisan lens and the longer shes home the more "Blue" Kansas is going to get. She could make one heck of a V.P. though. The talent pool in this party right now is DEEP !

I agree. It's probably much better to have a senator as a VP then a Governor, especially when the Governor is someone who managed to appeal in a more conservative state. She much be real good at her job.

One might lose a senate seat, although unlikely in Delaware but the VP is also the president of the Senate so it's kind of a promotion within the Senate as well.

He never actually voted on that act, but he expressed support for it. You're talking about the Illinois Liability Act. He opposed it for two reasons: it does not define "born alive", and thus the Act argues that a fetus in the womb is "alive" and thus abortions would be illegal, and it included a provision allowing parents to sue doctors who failed to take care of infants that survived abortion, to discourage doctors (who would be criminalized) from performing abortions

It's unconstitutional.
