i don't know if i should do the PRK or LASIK;what is the best and safer of the two?
i don't want to suffer too much pain after the operation..........
is it true that after the operation and for the next 2-3 days will i have to stay at home in bed always wearing dark glasse and with almost no lights at all?
Your doctor is the one who make the decision if you get PRK or Lasik. If you were able to choose you would want Lasik. PRK is a little more painful and takes longer to heal. As far as staying home in bed, I didn't have that problem at all. The only problem with PRK is that it takes a week before your vision starts returning at all. The pain wasn't bad at all, it was more like a feeling like you have something in your eye. But they give you numbing drop that help with that alot.
@michealstich I know it's been a while since you've had a response, but I want to add my experience... Maybe you've already done it... I am about to have my 2 week post-op. As my epithelium heals, as expected, my vision fluctuates... It's still FANTASTIC. I don't go a day without seeing better than I did before... As far as post op... There is a chance you may experience pain, but that is nothing a dose of vicodin can't cure. I awoke nightly with overwhelming pain, but it's rare! No more pain!
i think this is your the best money you ever spend
