thank you soooooo much for making a video that can benefit everyone and help them out. every other vid is all about this other bull shit no cares about. great vid and really helped me out!!!!!
Hey I purchased a wolverine from u guys by echo 1 and on the web site it says 1200 mah for the battery but I got a 1400 mah battery . Idk if its a typo or if u guys just sent me the wrong one and I don't wana overcharged it
@DeathlyOwnageNrK It looks like this last batch came with 1400mah batteries so this might be the new battery they are going with. With the included battery charger you would want to charge it for between 5h 30m and 5h 45m.
@GhettoCabbage That sounds like there is either an internal fault or the battery is not compatible with the charger. I've never actually seen one blink like that so I can't be 100% certain though. If you recently purchased the charger from us, please submit an RMA request through our website by clicking on "returns" in the front page menu.
@Wabaanimkii When the light turns green it is no longer charging. As long as the charger is plugged in it is always "on" but only starts charging when it senses a battery has been plugged into it and then stops charging when the battery reaches its peak charge. Hence the name "Smart Charger".
How can you tell which wires which? I bought this from my local airsoft store and it came with multiple connector things but I don't know which connector is which?
this may sound stupid but how do u use a multi meter on a airsoft battery... every time i try to use it just like a regular battery the metal tips in the plastic spark wtf is happening?
I just bought an M5-S6 w/ a LiPO battery and a Universal Smart Charger. When i plug it in, the battery blinks red once, then green, then it goes blank. I'm assuming it isn't charging, and the battery isn't pre-charged, so what is wrong with it?
Please reply. I'm thinking about getting this charger and i have a battery that says 7.2v 270mah P so would that battery work with the charger? Thank you
@TheERPClan No, it would not. This will charge Nicad or NiMH battery packs ranging from 7.2v to 12v which have a capacity of 1100mah or more. If the battery is below 1100mah it will not work with this charger.
@narutodavid2 The voltage does not matter, only the mAh does. For battery packs 1100 to 2100mah you must use the .9A setting or you will overheat the battery. Only battery packs over 2100mah can use the 1.8A setting.
when the light turns red does that mean the battery is done charging? because my battery charged in like 5 minutes and then barely held a charge for about 20 shots. does the problem lie in the battery or the charger?
Hey great video :). I was just wondering if it would be worth it to but a 9.6v battery with 5000mAh. It's a bit out of my price range but if it's really good I'll get it. Thanks
does this charger work with the regular battery that comes with the gun or do you have to buy a special battery that only works with the smart charger
@teenagejackass100 It will charge Nicad or NiMH battery packs ranging from 7.2v to 12v which have a capacity of 1100mah or more. Most batteries with come with AEGs meet these requirements.
hi. I have a similar smarth charger but not exactly the same. My charger says 0.9 and 1.8 instead of 1 and 2(Im guessing it was rounded) and I got it off airsoftmegastore. If you have a batter that is 1100mah or a 1400mah which one should you use, 0.9 or 1.8?
@YeheonShin For battery packs 1100 to 2100mah you must use the .9A setting or you will overheat the battery. Only battery packs over 2100mah can use the 1.8A setting.
@kulatz18 The charger will charge any Nicad or Ni-MH battery of any configuration as long as they are over 1100mah. This would include the Intellect batteries.
Will the smart charger charge an 11.1V 1300mAh 20C Lithium Battery? or to charge my lipoly battery i have to use the Lipoly Battery Smart Charger + BMS Unit (Standard / Universal Type)---please reply!!!!
@shortyusa Thanks for the reply, but I bought a Duratrax Onyx 230 a few days ago. But thanks for clearing that up, if I ever need a backup charger or request to freinds it might be this.
@Leok450 That's a pretty tricked out charger. But yes, the Universal Charger is just a nice simple charger and awesome for the price. I've been running the same one here for 5 years now and it is still going. It gets a LOT of use too lol.
@chargers705 Sorry about that. You should contact our returns/service department to get it replaced. Go to our website, click on returns to the bottom left of the front page, fill out the RMA request form with your order info and submit it. They will get back to you promptly.
I have a smart charger and it when I plug it on and it flashes red then green and then just flashes red and won't stop flashing or charge my batteries can someone help me
@zSNIP3DOWNz It does come with a little instruction sheet however it has less information than our online description. Operating the charger is pretty straight forward though. Just select the output level you want and plug the battey in.
Should my batteries be getting warm from using this? I'm just wondering. I'm charging my 3600 MaH 9.6v on the 1.8A setting, and it gets pretty warm even when it is still charging. Mine has .9 and 1.8A settings instead of 1.0 and 2.0
If they are used properly they won't however trickle chargers are a lot more risky to use and you typicaly do not get the most out of the battery when you use one.
i just ordered a smart charger and echo 1 cpw from you guys.gun was great with the small charge the battery came with but the charger isnt charging the battery anymore. im thinking about sending it all back if it doesnt start charging. idk if i did something wrong tho. do you just plug it all in and good to go? please help i dont wanna send it back
Typically people who run Nicad batteries have two. Run the one until it goes down and then switch to the charged one. It is better than running it down in your gun just to run it down. That puts a lot of extra wear on your gun for no reason. We're actually looking into a new charger which has a discharge function. If it works out well we should have it in a month or two.
Only if you have a Ni-MH type battery. If you have a Nicad it will ruin the cells since you always have to drain the battery down all of the way before recharging it.
Hey, Only NiCD batteries need discharging right? And, on a NiHD battery, say u only use half of the battery and try to charge it. Will it overcharge or will the charger recognize that the battery already has half the battery life?
They typically do that when you plug them in. Kind of like "booting up". When you plug the battery into it though the light should turn on red and then once it is done it will be green.
It is possible to damage the battery but typically the charger would just shut off if you were charging at a rate faster than the battery could accept.
This charger can charge any airsoft battery from from 1100mAh up and from 7.2v to 12v. Yes, when the battery reaches peak charge it will shut off automatically.
if i have the charger on the right setting, it cant overheat right? like if i put an 1150 mah battery in with a 1.0A at midnight and i fall asleep and wake up at 7, it wont overcharge? How long would it take to charge an 1150 mah battery?
hey shortys i need some help, the battery take like 45 mins. to charge its a 8.4 1100 mah when its done the light turns green, but the light indicator dosent shut off it only stays green does that mean it working properly or maybe its cuz i got miine from evike maybe theirs are different please respond A.S.A.P. thanks again u guys rock
No. It can only be used with Ni-cd or Ni-MH battery packs. Li-Po batteries require special chargers and there aren't that many that can charge all three of those types.
You can leave the battery in the gun to charge it if you want to. The JG M4 CQB should have a 1500mah battery if I remember correctly so you'll want to use the lower 1.0a setting. Batteries from 1100 to 2100mah must use the lower setting. Anything over 2100mah can use either setting.
No, it can not charge AEP batteries. Aside from not having a traditional connector, AEP batteries are under 1000mAh so you can't put them on a fast charge.
dude your sites guns cost an arm and a leg... i bought a UTG spring mp5 for like $40. its really accurate for back yard wars and everything, its also very durable but like all the gas and electrics are like $10-$30 too expensive.
That's strange, we've never had a problem with ours. We have three of them hooked up in our tech dept. for our test batteries that get a LOT of use.
Possibly it was being charged too fast for its size? For battery packs 1100 to 2100mah you must use the lower setting or you will overheat the battery and it will kick off before it if fully charged. Only battery packs over 2100mah can use the higher setting.
I used it on a 1400mah intellect stick battery and it doesent charge it that much. I think i may have used it on the 2.0 setting by accident and my gun is very unreliable so its hard to tell whether its the charger or not. I will be recieving a brand new softair thompson tommorow or on friday so ill post the feedback from charging that guns batter on the smartcharger
no but like the video says. when its charging, the light glows red. when its done it glows green and shuts off the charging so it doesnt ruin your battery
ive never done that and my battery is still fine. and i use it every week. but i also dont have the pos battery that it came with. well my gun didnt come with a battery.
My light doesn't go on when charging

No. It can only be used with Ni-cd or Ni-MH battery packs. Li-Po batteries require special chargers and there aren't that many that can charge all three of those types.

SO for the large type use the 2nd setting?
Bryn913 3 years ago
As long as it is over 2100mah you could yes.
shortyusa 3 years ago
ok if u have a universal smart charger for the jg m4 cqb do u have to take the batteries out?
also how can u tell which one u put on the 1.0 a or the 2.0 a for the jg m4 cqb
squiggs135 3 years ago
You can leave the battery in the gun to charge it if you want to. The JG M4 CQB should have a 1500mah battery if I remember correctly so you'll want to use the lower 1.0a setting. Batteries from 1100 to 2100mah must use the lower setting. Anything over 2100mah can use either setting.

What happens if you use the wrong setting?

SniperMonkey201 3 years ago
Red means it is charging and should be disconnected. Green means it is done charging and can be disconnected.

what about aep batteries
BasmentStudiosFan 3 years ago
No, it can not charge AEP batteries. Aside from not having a traditional connector, AEP batteries are under 1000mAh so you can't put them on a fast charge.

dude your sites guns cost an arm and a leg... i bought a UTG spring mp5 for like $40. its really accurate for back yard wars and everything, its also very durable but like all the gas and electrics are like $10-$30 too expensive.

idk about u guys but mine sucks ass... it doesent charge the battery all the way before it shuts off
POOPADESCOOPA 3 years ago
That's strange, we've never had a problem with ours. We have three of them hooked up in our tech dept. for our test batteries that get a LOT of use.
Possibly it was being charged too fast for its size? For battery packs 1100 to 2100mah you must use the lower setting or you will overheat the battery and it will kick off before it if fully charged. Only battery packs over 2100mah can use the higher setting.
shortyusa 3 years ago
I used it on a 1400mah intellect stick battery and it doesent charge it that much. I think i may have used it on the 2.0 setting by accident and my gun is very unreliable so its hard to tell whether its the charger or not. I will be recieving a brand new softair thompson tommorow or on friday so ill post the feedback from charging that guns batter on the smartcharger
POOPADESCOOPA 3 years ago
i take that previous comment back the charger works beautifully its just the reliability of my gun that made me think otherwise.

I got a trickle charger with my utg ak47. Ive never used it, ive always used the smart charger.
