This movie was filmed in my hometown of Chillicothe, Missouri. My father was actually used in this movie, as an extra. When they go to that little hang-out location, my father can be spotted dancing with a woman - he was the homecoming king and she was the homecoming queen of Chillicothe High School, at the time. The school used in this movie was the actual high school in Chillicothe at the time. My father also drove a car in the racing sequence of the film. Love this movie!

It's a shame that John Ashley didn't get more good roles like this where he could really show his talents. After this movie, he had little to do in the beach party movies and the Phillipine horror films. Rest in Peace, John Ashley

I liked Mat, too & so the ending was a disappointment. He was reckless & misguided & acted tough on the outside, but the absence of his parents overseas left him alone & left a void.

Mat didn't deliberately set off to run Kelly off the road. You could see he had some remorse. I actually felt sorry for him.
