Voice ID. "This is a recorded ID for GB3WR", "GB3WR clear" and so on. Not the same, and it seems to bust into a qso, whereas the cw id was kind of in the background. It gets annoying if you're monitoring the repeater for a while too.
Ahh yes and the old BC before it was moved! Going back a while i remember that menace who used to be and idiot on there for years! Was it ??BMH or something similar?
That rings a bell. There were quite a few. We had squeaky voices, whisperers, deejays, you name it. You'd often find the vigilantes who'd waste their time making comments about them and arguing with them could cause more problems that the actual clowns.
Just yesterday, my ft817nd arrived. What a cracking little radio! Maybe see you on the bands.
It came with the NiMH pack, so shouldn't be any problems. It really is a great little rig, very pleased with it. The main HF rig's been neglected since it arrived.
Can we see more gb3wr?

Good luck with the 817, excellent radio! Be careful when using batteries and leaving them in the radio when not in use are you may join the "BFC"!
