@mazlanhalim Oh, so that's it :-) thank you for your very kind comment. malaysian song is very good too.. i've heard them many times when i visit malaysian.. though i don't really know the artists name.. xD
I have a guitar that looks a lot like the CGS104A, with nylon strings - half of them are brown and half of them are white. However I don't know how to change the strings. I have a friend who is a musician, and he teaches me how to play, but he said he hasn't seen strings that don't go through the bridge in a straight line, but mine loop over the bridge. Do I take it to a shop and ask them how to change it? I only need to change one string, because it snapped.
Hi, I did my research and I guess that guitar must be old since 1970s. I'm not sure how much is it now...if u r planning to sell it, I suggest using Ebay.
My father once bought a Yamaha G-100 classical nylon guitar for my mother. This was 1969 or 1970. Nobody played it until 1985. After tuning and playing it my teacher wanted to buy it from me for about 50$ US. This says a lot about my teacher......and my guitar. That was the first and last lesson I took. Now I am an advanced player and know that this is guitar is a juwel. I played 3000 $ dollar guitars and some do not sound or play better than my old cheap Yamaha.
That's an interesting story and that guitar must be a jewel. I agree with you. Older guitars sounded better than most expensive guitars now. The way they make guitars now are different and mass-produced. Currently, I notice Yamaha guitars are getting more expensive each year. This CG201S now is priced 20% higher compared when I first bought it. . Do you agree?
Can you play a song with this guitar? I want to buy one but my local Guitar Center do not have it on display so I can not feel it and play it. I am not into classical guitar, but like to have a nylon string guitar for popular / folks songs that may fit (finger picking). I sing along as well. Thanks
I see you are climbing the chain of yahama classical gutiars. This one is supposed to have a thinner neck. The spuce is more often used in steel stiring gutiars because of it's strength. But it is supposed to give brigher highs and more power. I think I can hear that in your video. Congrads. And the other videos playing this guitar where cool too.
It is a good guitar indeed!
I used to use a lot of Yamaha guitar,
Now I'm using Alhambra, Thanks for the video :D

Hmm..I believe u can do it either way..through the brigde or over it. For me, I would go through the brigde.
If u not confident to do it then better to take it to a guitar shop. They might learn a few tips from them. :)
