Ok please help! I've attempted to land with a gear failure before but every time the plane i'm flying touches the ground without the gear, the plane sinks into the ground and it resets me in the air. The same thing happens when i attempt to land a jet in the water with the gear up. please respond thanks.

@ephrum666 when landing, you will need to extract the landing gear. Also, most of the planes are departing on LANDS not on the waters (although there are some specific planes for water landing).

@ephrum666 no, it won't. As long as your approach is nice and easy. Also look at your decent rate. It shouldn't be more than 20ft/min. In addition, your plane should not be overloaded or else the plane you are flying will sink once it touches the runway especially heavy aircrafts. It also applies on small aircrafts but very rare and if that will happen, it will be a pilot error.

All of the people saying how you should've tried to land on your belly without out ANY gear at all are wrong.

In 99% of all abnormal procedures (like this one) you would put that one gear down, land and try your best to stay on the right gear for as longs you can, like done in the video.

And then put the nose down. DON'T PUT THE PLANE DOWN ON THE OTHER ENGINE! If you land on the nose, the plane should roll to the right if you put the nose down at a high enough speed.

i've done the same in a 747 but not in a mission, it was a free flight from hethrow to montreal and the left wheels never came down. Fsx don't have random failures option so i don't know why this happend. Anyway fsx is not realistic at all when it comes to emergency stuff, the engine is in the ground and the wing is still there, this is not simulation...
