  • Very nice. What is the name of the instrument that is droning in the background? Thankyou. I want ot purchase a droning maching if there is such thing. Please let me know. Namaste

  • I guess the difference is he's not reaching as far down on the 'ki' when playing kudau singh gharana, when playing nathdwara gharana then you reach all the way down on the bayan to make 'ki'. Is that correct? Could you make a video showing how to play titakata gadeegena and a few basic strokes of pakhwaj in chautal and dhammar tal with some basic variations? that would be REALLY appreciated, there are no good pakhawaj resources on the web, thanks.

  • Sounds like tabla. Is this a dholak? or Dhumakita?

  • Ed, I posted a comment /question on the video where you are playing. Hope you see it some time and respond. Roland

  • how do u make the atta?

  • Atta literally means flour. With respect Dholki or Pakhawaj, it is dough made from wheat flour. Wheat flour (and water) is kneaded to the consistency that the player prefers. Generally you may start with minimum of water, but knead it thoroughly. Some players may add some binding agent so that it may not come off too easily during playing.

  • thank you very much! i just use playdoh lol it works just as good =) with little work

  • what are you talking about!!

    keep friendly
