The members of the newly former CELAC (Community of Latinamerican and Caribbean States) unanimously approved one month ago a document in support of Argentina’s claim and anticipated they would request the intervention of UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon. The document reiterates the standing interest of Latinamerica and the Caribbean that the UK accepts to hold talks with Argentina so as to find “on the shortest time possible” a peaceful and definitive solution to the dispute.

France had no choice but to leave because of the Bourbon family ties, which put France under Spanish influence. And in 1811 the Spaniards VOLUNTARILY left the islands in large part because of the wars of independence within the Viceroyalty of the River Plate. Spain's focus was elsewhere. Spain resisted the former colonies' desire to be free and fought against them - including Argentina.
Spain did not recognize Argentine sovereignty until many years later, and in the meantime, it later sent a ship with officers to the Falklands and there was a cannon salute to the British flying flag in the Falkland. Through this formality, official representatives of Spain formally recognized British sovereignty over the Falklands.
The claim you inherited the islands from Spain is flawed - and false.

Pinzón and his 2 ships were at Port Stanely from Feb 27 to Apr 9, 1863. They fired a salute to the British flag and received Governor James Mackenzie on board. Pinzón represented Spain and accepted British sovereignty over the Falkland Islands.

Not 200 years of British sovereignty but 195. I missed for 5 years. Sorry. You also err in overlooking the fact that Portugal discovered the islands in 1502, 2 years after Brazil was discovered, and that the islands became Brazilian territory after Brazil became independent from Portugal in 1822. If the British had maintained control for 195 years, why would they have "tried" again in 1895 if they had exerted control all along?
@PentaPapi Trinidad became Brazilian after Brazil became independent in 1822 (although Britain controlled it until 1895) like Malvinas became Argentine territory after Buenos Aires emancipated from Spain in 1810 and after the United Provinces of S. America became independent in 1816. The flag was raised on Malvinas on Nov 6th 1820 and until 1833 the following authorities administered the territory : David Jewett, Guillermo Mason, Pablo Areguati, Luis Vernet, Esteban Mestiver and Jose Pinedo.

Guillermo Mason simply succeeded Jewitt as the Commander of the Heron in May 1822 - never a governor.
Captain Pablo Areguati was a junior military commander stationed at port Soledad for a short time - never a governor.
Vernet was an entrepreneur who requested and received British permission for a colony and reported progress to the British authorities - never a governor
Major Esteban Mestiver was a junior military commander sent to set up a penal colony in the British Falklands but his soldiers mutinied and killed him - never a governor
Captain Pinedo and 26 soldiers were expelled from the British Falkland in 1833 after landing illegally a few weeks earlier - never a governor
John Nova discovered Trinidad in 1501, one year before Esteban da Gama visited the island in 1502...
Edmund Halley took possession on behalf of Britain in 1700 and only until 1895 Trinidad could be part of Brazil thanks to Portuguese diplomatic efforts. For 195 years Trinidad & Martim Vaz, 1600 miles away from Brazil, were British islands.
I repeat: Britain didn't mention sovereignity issues on the Parish-Garcia Anglo-Argentine treaty of Friendship signed in 1825.

France had no choice but to leave because of the Bourbon family ties, which put France under Spanish influence. And in 1811 the Spaniards VOLUNTARILY left the islands in large part because of the wars of independence within the Viceroyalty of the River Plate. Spain's focus was elsewhere. Spain resisted the former colonies' desire to be free and fought against them - including Argentina.

Your government, by acquiescence, relinquished all claims to the Falkland Islands. I regret to say this - but it's too late.

America became independent in 1816. The flag was raised on Malvinas on Nov 6th 1820 and until 1833 the following authorities administered the territory : David Jewett, Guillermo Mason, Pablo Areguati, Luis Vernet, Esteban Mestiver and Jose Pinedo.

In 17714 the British population of "Port Egmont" was evacuated as well.

Britain was aware that the Goverment of Buenos Aires had succeeded Spain since 1810 and recognized independence of the United Provinces in 1816.
