  • This goes for EddieExile (ex EddiePosted) who laughably states no one cares...

  • @MrGerardo777

Whine and bitch as much as you like - no one cares .

The Falklands Islands are British for as long as the Falkland Islanders wish - ie forever.

  • I'm from Brazil but I think the Falklands are British because here in Brazil there are few who support these proud Argentines who are gods ...

  • @CRASH7288 no stupid!!!...this latin american´s Island!!!...

  • @CRASH7288 Well, would you mind telling your government to stay out of Falkland affairs then. The UK regarded Brazil above a lot of the South Americans until you supported their blockade. Argentina have only spread corruption throughout the continent. You don't need to align yourselves with such swine.Good to see there are still some Brazilians with common sense in this matter! Argentina has no credible claim to the place. That's why they wont take it to International court.

  • @22ndWave yes I know this is an issue between England and Argentina! even if Brazil does not interfere. our support and england! . we will support for the British!. Argentines think they are gods and inderrotaveis

  • @CRASH7288 True. They do think they're cool... they're not.

  • @CRASH7288 Wow shame on you I'm not argentine but I support argentina like all latin America did in the past and in present your president supports argentina too lol lol !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ¡¡¡FELIZ NAVIDAD 2011!!! Much Peace in this Christmas 2011, with blessings showered upon the humanity. MERRY CHRISTMAS for everybody!

PAZ y BENDICIONES para la entera humanidad en el 2012.

  • @alberttochile ..traidor chilote hijo de puta!!

  • Do you treat Rusians as communist soviets, the germans as nazis or the Turks as Otomans? Well, Argentina has a new face, totally new. It was the Papal action to end a stupid but tragic war, to be avoided by one or both parts. Argentina's claim is aimed more at an integration not an opresion, take a look at my vids, Argentina is very mixed and also peaceful,

  • @alberttochile your full of crap, just like the whole of south america. you want those islands for their resource, not the people. your baby killers, you kill anyone that doesn't agree with you. they have voted to remain british, respect that fact. the pope didn't visit the argies. the so called argie troops (baby killers) were forced off the islands by our brave troops. you argies will never torment the islanders again.

  • @alberttochile Your government HAS NOT changed. These recent claims to the islands are proof. To distract from the fact that the government is corrupt and people in Argentina are still in poverty in most places, your government has once again used the Falklands to rattle their sabres, so they wont be voted out of power. Come on, you're friends with fucking Venezuela. Venezuela?!

  • Argentine losses 649 killed, 1,068 wounded, 11,313 taken prisoner, the war, their government and any remaining pride - for ZERO.

  • @EddieExile A Pope asked the militar president to stop the war, just two days before the withdrawal of the troops. Nevertheless English pussies help other powers to fight in Afghanistan, Iraq, etc whre populations aren't British and all for british GREED!

  • @alberttochile

"A Pope asked the militar president to stop the war, just two days before the withdrawal of the troops"

    What withdrawal? .

Argentina ignored UN Resolution 502 of 3rd April 1982 demanding immediate withdrawal: "UN is “deeply disturbed at reports of an invasion on 2 April 1982 by armed forces of Argentina, and demands an immediate withdrawal of all Argentine forces from the Falkland Islands"

Give up your trolling - you are crap at it.

  • @EddieExile What withdrawal? The Argentinos' troops. Pope didn't plan a visit to Argentina whatosever. But after visiting UK, a surprise as blessing came to Buenos Aires...two days later the gov announced the withdrawal of the boys of Malvinas.

Ireland's ambassador to UN supported and claimed for Argentina in a diplomatic way, who was attacking was UK to Argentina with a fleet. Notwithstanding was the claim at UN during and afterwards, being European countries supporting.

  • Over 200 British casulaties for a population of around 2,000 2nd class citizens of the British Empire! A bad example for the whole humanity, stop wars, no matter where! The Globe needs peace-makers and progress in science and solidarity!

  • @alberttochile 2nd class citizens ? What the hell are you talking about ? You clearly are an arse.

  • @jameswb333333 Arse were the Br. govmts before the Malvinas' battle, kelpers were treated as 2nd class citizens, not as real Britons! It was their fault not the Argies' fault! understood?

  • @alberttochile Like I said ....

  • @alberttochile the world does need peace makers, don't start a war hat you can't finish argies.

  • Great Victory For Great Britannia.

  • Hey Argentines, I ask one more time. HOW WILL YOU TAKE THE FALKLAND ISLANDS BACK? All you say is the "we will return one day" line, but how?

If you try another war, the UK will defeat you again.

Diplomacy? The Islands' residents wish to remain British.

So... how will you take the islands again?

  • @PentaPapi usted me va a perdonar, hermano brasilero,no quiero discutir con alguien que no tiene nada que ver con el asunto, saludos

  • Funny how they seem to forget that Argentina used to be a SPANISH colony stolen from the indigenous population way back when...

and they accuse us of stealing land?

    hmmmm......

  • @MegaPaul71 Not only did they steal it from the natives when the Spaniards ran the Viceroyalty of the River Plate, but the descendants of the Spaniards killed, looted, raped, and stole as well. Look at the Desert Campaign, when General Julio Argentino Roca commandeered a huge offensive to decimate the native Mapuche population to take southern territories.

  • British are SCUM of the highest ORDER.

  • British are SCUM of the highest order.

  • @aviomaster Look you come from Bosnia full of sweaty tramps and the shittest economy know to man how can you call british people scum you sir are a waste of human flesh.

  • I ask ALL Argentines here. ALL of you say that one day you will take the islands again, that the Falkland Islands shall fall under Argentine sovereignty.

Well, then please tell us. HOW?

HOW WILL ARGENTINE SOVEREIGNTY BE ESTABLISHED OVER THE ISLANDS?

    Diplomacy? The Brits won't negotiate.

War? The British military will need 48 to 72 hours to make you surrender. They could probably conquer ALL of Argentina.

Vote? The Islanders want to be British.

So... HOW WILL YOU TAKE THEM?

  • After Argentina invaded, the United States military informed the British government that any counter-operation to retake the islands would be a "military impossibility".

  • All the flags on the Falklands are British.

  • @EddieExile flag considered ILLEGAL by Brazil's president Dilma Rousseff :) almost 200 countries supporting our cause the southern hemisphere of the entire planet USA China India Brazil Chile and so on all telling the UK to respect the UN and comply with several UN resolutions that say you must solve this dispute by entering talks with Argentina.
  • @111jasy111

Only in your dreams comical ali.

    Here is reality though:

US congress moves to block development loans to Argentina:

United States lawmakers are planning block development loans to Argentina and seek out allies to pressure President Cristina Fernandez to settle with holders of defaulted debt in exchange for funding development banks.

Better pay your defaulted debts you argie bums.

  • @EddieExile Brazil's president Dilma Rouseff said the current flag of OUR islands is ILLEGAL. I wouldn't say it's a dream. It's reality. The ILLEGAL FLAG of the Faklands Islands. Got it? I-L-L-E-G-A-L

  • @111jasy111

More armitroll fantasy - seizing on a verbal headline - and carefully avoiding the small print where the Brazil Government clarifies its statements with wording that actually means Brazil will only act within International Law - which means it would actually not refuse port entry etc to a merchant vessel of any flag unless it had reason to suspect criminal activities etc.

    Got it? MEANINGLESS R-H-E-T-O-R-I-C

Now pay your defaulted debts you argie bums.

  • @EddieExile In January 2011, the government of Brazil denied HMS Clyde (P257) access to Rio de Janeiro as Uruguay had done with HMS Gloucester (D96) the previous September.

    Flag ILLEGAL. Got it?

Nobody wants you pirates in South America.

  • @111jasy111

The UK and Brazil signed a massive defence cooperation agreement in September 2010.

Governments come and go but the British Falkland Islands will remain a formal overseas territory of the UK and EU, and the British Falklands Flag will fly over the British Falklands FOREVER.

Nobody gives a shit about you whining argies. Got it?

  • @EddieExile Hahaha so after they signed a ooooh "massive" defence cooperation agreement, Brazil REFUSED entrance to your pirate ships on their ports, like Uruguay. Good deal! Hahahaha!

"Brutish Faklands" is bound to be a forgotten name like British Togoland or Tanganyka. I'm sure many British pirates said same thing to Africans at that time: "This will belong to the UK forever blah blah blah. Nobody gives a shit about you arf arf".

The UK is a crumbling colonial power in decline.

    Sorry.

  • @111jasy111

Don't apologise comical ali - your increasingly deluded rants are an endless source of amusement on youtube.

  • @EddieExile Thank you, Eddieposted. Meanwhile Brazil called the Faklands flag ILLEGAL and all Latin America supports Argentina. The islands are South American territory, whether you want to admit it or not. How does it feel to be hated all over the place? You are British so you must know. I've seen you dispise people from all over the world, especially 'paddies' ;)

  • @111jasy111

no problem armitroll - you keep posting your demented delusions and we will continue laughing at you.

Meanwhile the British flag flies proudly over the British Falklands.

  • @EddieExile We? Some right wing Brits like you might laugh for the time being, but remember this time the world is watching ;)

    OAS

    G77 + China

    UN Decolonization Committee

BTW why the UK recently voted against five UN draft resolutions on decolonization? Only 3 or 4 countries voted against while almost 200 countries voted in favour. Why is the UK against?

Is it because the UN is going to take care of the irregular situation in that colonial outpost?

Remember he who laughs last laughs best ;)

  • Comment removed

  • @EddieExile "The reason that the UK voted against some resolutions is explained by the UK delegate." I guess you removed that comment out of shame, haven't you? ;)

  • @111jasy111 you made that claim on the other video and ran way after being slaughtered.

  • @EddieExile Liar. I got this reply from you: "The reason that the UK voted against some resolutions is explained by the UK delegate".. But then the comment was already removed here.

Anyway what did the UK delegate explain in order to legitimate voting against decolonization?

  • @111jasy111

You made the claim about removing comments on another video and ran away when destroyed with the evidence.

UN GA/SPD/482 - “The Fourth Committee reaffirmed the inalienable right of ALL people to self-determination and independence, as it concluded today its general debate on decolonization matters"

UN GA/SPD/483 - clearly shows UK stated reasons for voting against some texts, but as you have been told many times the UK did not vote against decolonisation.

  • @111jasy111 No country of the Security Council will even list your claim. No country will act against the UK or the islands.ALL have FULL relations with both. No country has protested to the UN on your behalf. Argentina has ever and will not take their claim to the International Court. China as a permanent member of the Security Council could list your claim.IT REFUSES. Thats because you have no claim. No claim on any level.Hence why when you landed on the islands the UN demanded you withdraw.

  • @111jasy111what 5 resolutions did the UK vote against and how many resolutions altogether? was it in relation to British territories or all colonial territories?what resolution concerning the Falklands?be specific! last week the UN said a "solution with the interests of the Islanders in mind" Argentina dismisses the islanders rights and in breach of UN thinking for a peaceful outcome .Brazil does not have the authority to declare a flag illegal it can refuse to recognise it,not the same thing.

  • @Oder1001

    UN General Assembly

    GA/SPD/482

    GA/SPD/483

  • @111jasy111 OK how will Argentina find a solution with the islanders interests in mind and acceptable to them as stated by the UN? by the way I have read through some parts of these documents I can find nothing there that confirms any of the assertions you imply, there are parts that need further explanation the Brits could not agree with and in the present form not acceptable but the overall goal by the UN is accepted by the UK for non self governing States.

  • @111jasy111 Brazil officially supported Argentina during the war and even today it does stand by your country's position. This does not mean however that Brazil's senior leaders really care about your country's desires to retake the archipelago. I would dare say many ARGENTINE leaders know the islands will NEVER be Argentine but harp on it to garner domestic political support.

  • @PentaPapi Are you a psychic? You can read the minds of Brazilian and Argentinian leaders. Wow, I am amazed. Can I hire you?

  • @111jasy111 Your country's leaders know privately that the islands will never be recovered. They know any campaign, whether peaceful/diplomatic or military, would cost Argentina far more than it would cost the UK to counteract it. So they talk about retaking them and you amended your constitution. But there is no chance the UK will voluntarily cede the islands without the Falklanders choosing Argentina. They will never choose Argentina.

  • @PentaPapi That is true to the word my friend. It is all about gaining support from the home crowd. The Islands are remaining British because they want to be having rejected our offer of independence in 1968.

1 UN councilor or 1 foreign politician mentions negotiations being the best way forward and all of a sudden the Argentine start with the "everyone is batting for our team" bullshit. Never mind this 11jasy twat, he's just that...an utter twat.

  • @WickyWiggstaz In 2011, Roger Edwards, a member of the Falklands' Legislative Assembly, gave a speech at the UN. He affirmed the Falkalnd Islanders wish to remain under British sovereignty and said the Argentine sovereignty claims are "flawed," 'based on myth and on self imposed changes to historical facts to suit its own ends," and that "there were no indigenous people to be expelled, as happened in Argentina."

The Falklands WANT British rule. End of story!

  • @PentaPapi ? I know all this, I'm British Armed Forces arguing the same points in favour of preserving the rights including those of self determination of the Falkland Islanders. I think you're replying to the wrong guy mate.

  • @WickyWiggstaz I know - I'm just stating this to make the point that the Falklands are legally and rightfully British territory. The Argentines who have written on this video's page will hopefully read this and understand that self-determination means giving a voice to the people in question, and the people in question have spoken and their message is clear: they want to remain British. The Argentines need to accept this and relinquish their claim upon islands which aren't theirs.

  • @PentaPapi I do not opposse to the fact that some British people are saying they want to remain British, that is fine to me, IF THEY ARE IN BRITAIN, NOT IN STOLEN LAND 8000+ MILES AWAY FROM THEIR HOMELAND.

  • @111jasy111 It's not stolen land. The whole claim your country has about the Brits expelling Louis Vernet and the living Argentine settlers by force in 1833 is a lie. If this so-called expulsion by Great Britain of Argentine residents is proven to be mythical, then the entire argument of Argentine sovereignty over these islands collapses. Moreover you signed a treaty in 1851 affirming you had NO OUTSTANDING DISPUTES with Great Britain.

The Falklands are legally and rightfully BRITISH.

  • @111jasy111 UK no longer a colonial power only countries like yours emerging from the modern dark ages of fascism and dictatorship and military Junta`s think so your argument over those islands is based on the past rather than the facts of the 21st century, the answer for the Falklands it will not be found in the past but in the present and future.Find a solution with the islanders in mind the UN understands it only Argies do not.take the Brits to court gain legal recognition of your claim.

  • @111jasy111 Great Britain is not a colonial power in decline. It is no longer a colonial power. However, it is a testament to the British management of its colonies that many today willingly are part of the British Commonwealth. As for Brazil and the UK - 111jasy111, think about it. Brazil shares land and water borders with your country. Yet Brazil signed this treaty with a member of NATO. Why? Who is more advantageous to Brazil as a geopolitical ally? Argentina or the United Kingdom?

  • @PentaPapi UK is indeed one of the last colonial powers. The world and the UN are certainly aware.

  • @111jasy111 Ah for fuck sake you're on this one too? The UN doesn't recognize anything other than that negotiations would be better than a war. Negotiations won't happen and if Argentina start a war....well we know who will be winning that one don't we now. Get a fucking life, stop calling us Pirates and move on. We fought you fair and square and we won. Be gracious in defeat, move to the Island if you want but live in a British colony, not an Argentine one.

  • @111jasy111 Name one remaining British colony which is held under the rule of the British crown against the wish of the "colonial subjects."

  • @PentaPapi From the first, to keep possessing colonies in the 21st century is absurd and outrageous. And most of those British "colonial subjects" are descendants of British slave owners and British squatters (like in Malvinas) who benefited from the abuse of the British empire. And even in the 21st century the UK votes against decolonization at the UN. Shame.

  • @111jasy111 Still spouting your lies I see - if you want to see imperial squatters go home then why not campaign to remove all the imperialists who illegally invaded, butchered and raped the Native people of South America. SEND THE ARGENTINIANS HOME TO EUROPE - FREE THE PAMPAS.

You are such a blatant idiot - you spout shite about decolonization WHEN YOU ARE A COLONIST WHO STOLE LAND FROM THE RIGHTFUL OWNERS THE AMERINDIANS..

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHA what a moron.

  • @krackersdave I didn't steal anybody's land, idiot. My ancestors are from Europe but they werent involved in the killing of natives or stealing land. My ancestors came in the early 20th century as immigrants and even so I don't have a EU passport or nationality, although I wouldn't mind going "back to Europe" as you laughably state. Are you going to pay for my relocation? Malvinas is "a special and particular case of colonialism" according to the UN Decolonization Committee in NYC.

  • @111jasy111 You still have not named ONE remaining British colony whose subjects wish not to remain under the rule of the British crown.

  • @111jasy111 Utter nonsense - if I hire a man to murder someone and I profit from his death would I not also be held accountable by the law?? The very land you stand on has been stolen from it's rightful owners - you profit from this murder and theft!! And what do you do to correct this crime against humanity? Do you help the Natives take back their land from the invaders...

No.. You stay silent, you continue to profit, you ignore the cries for justice..

    Hypocrite sir! HYPOCRITE!

  • @111jasy111 No they're not. The Falkalnd Islands are descendants of British subjects who willingly moved over there. They have been there for 9-10 generations - that's a longer period of time than Argentina itself has existed, and in fact, your country at first was just a union of provinces by the River Plate. The Brits there have been British since then, and the islands were NEVER colonies. Argentina was a colony until you guys broke free from Spanish rule. Please get your facts straight.

  • @111jasy111 Falkland Islands stays British until the islanders decide they want to be Argentine best you make peace with them if Argentina has any hope of resolving the issue. Best not wait to long if the oil turns out to be substantial the present attitude of the Argentine Government will exclude itself from any dealings or profits with the Falkland government to which the British government will have to go along with. don`t cut your nose to spite your face.

  • we have alot of british flags since 1806! ISLAS MALVINAS ARGENTINAS. VIVA ARGENTINA! muerte a chile.

  • The facts today: Argentina won’t start a war, as Britain would easily win. Britain refuses to negotiate sovereignty but WOULD hand the islands over if the Falklanders vote for Argentine rule. The Falklanders stubbornly resist and refuse joining Argentina and wish to remain an Overseas British Territory. Conclusion: these islands will continue British and nothing will change that. The end.

  • @PentaPapi nacioladad Islanders are British and young people does not just most of them were born ... that matter would have to choose also the descendants of the 3000 Argentine fact makes them 170 years

  • @PentaPapi Nothing to add to that concise and accurate account of the current situation. The Falklands were British then, they are British now, and in all probability they will be British for an awful long time to come.

  • @PentaPapi Totally correct Sir. The Falklands issue is just used to dupe the Argentinian population, and divert their attention away from poverty and deprivation. It is a useful diversion to blame a foreign power. You don't need to be a sophisticated political analyst to see this but these numpties fall for the ruse every time. Also their beloved UN classifies Argentina as a 'flawed democracy' so they should perhaps look closer to home before lecturing Britain on colonialism and democracy

  • @PentaPapi te olvidaste de decir que en el 82 nos ganaron con ayuda de su novio yanki,la otan y su hijo chile, claro argentina peleo sola como siempre.saludos,no nos subestimes, podemos llegar a lastimar :)

    MALVINAS ARGENTINAS

  • @ElAmorNoDesciende Did you think that the United States would have taken your side against Great Britain? Did you think the United States' leaders did not remember how your country was supportive, albeit on a limited basis, towards Nazi Germany? Did you honestly think that the extreme anti-Americanism your country has long been known for was lost on the Americans?

The Islands are still British. As always, yesterday, tomorrow, and forever.

  • @ElAmorNoDesciende You are going to invade the islands again? Really? With what army? In late 2008 La Nacion newspaper stated that your army lacks ammunition for more than 1 day of combat. So you will invade - and do you think the British will stand by idly? The British can bombard Puerto Madero before your navy can reach the Falklands. Please do not even consider it. You will lose again.

The Falklands are NOT Argentine. They are and were always BRITISH.

  • @ElAmorNoDesciende Hours ago you said you will invade again. Now you say you are a pacifist nation.

You were very pacifistic in 1982, weren't you?

The Falkland Islanders want to remain British. The British flag flies over the islands. The Falkland Islands shall never belong to Argentina. They never did to begin with. Your war in 1982 was illegal, and it was a war of aggression. Your military leaders were the real pirates.

  • @PentaPapi LIAR. YOU LEFT THE ISLANDS FOR HALF A CENTURY AFTER YOUR ILLEGAL PIRATE SETTLEMENT WAS RIGHTFULLY EXPELLED BY SPANISH FORCES. YOU RETURNED TO STEAL OUR ISLANDS BECAUSE WE WERE A NEWBORN NATION WITHOUT ENOUGH WEAPONS AND RESOURCES. WE HAVE BEEN THERE FOR DECADES BEFORE YOU CAME BACK IN 1833 TO STEAL FROM US. FUCKING THIEF. GTFO!

  • @111jasy111 The settlement that was "expelled" was French. Spain never cared about the islands until 1760. France had no choice but to leave because of the Bourbon family ties, which put France under Spanish influence. And in 1811 the Spaniards VOLUNTARILY left the islands in large part because of the wars of independence within the Viceroyalty of the River Plate. Spain's focus was elsewhere. Spain resisted the former colonies' desire to be free and fought against them - including Argentina.

  • Spain did not recognize Argentine sovereignty until many years later, and in the meantime, it later sent a ship with officers to the Falklands and there was a cannon salute to the British flying flag in the Falkland. Through this formality, official representatives of Spain formally recognized British sovereignty over the Falklands.

The claim you inherited the islands from Spain is flawed - and false.

  • @ElAmorNoDesciende You're going to return? How?

War? But wait, Argentina is a pacifistic country... oh wait, so if you will invade because taking them back isn't aggression, then do you honestly believe Argentina can defeat Britain in war?

If you HONESTLY believe Argentina can defeat Britain in war... you are unaware of reality.

  • @ElAmorNoDesciende I repeat. Hours earlier you said Argentina will invade AGAIN. Now you say Argentina is a pacifistic nation. Which one is it? And, it was not illegally usurped. Your country signed a treaty in 1851 stating that Argentina had no outstanding claims or complaints or conflicts with Great Britain. Your congress did not raise the issue of the islands again until 1940. Your country accepted British sovereignty.

The Falkland Islands were never and will NEVER be Argentine.

  • @PentaPapi Argentina NEVER accepted British sovereignity. Also, when did Spain salute the British flag in the islands by cannon salute? As far as I know Spain expelled the illegal British settlement of Port Egmont in 1770 and Britain left for good in 1774. It was Spanish land from 1767 until 1811 when it became ARGENTINE territory inherited from Spain. How dare you call that flawed and false? The argentine flag waved in the Argentine Malvinas Islands since 1820 until the UK invaded again.

  • @111jasy111 Luiz Hernández de Pinzón went to Buenos Aires in 1863 to grant Spanish recognition of the Buenos Aires government over the entire territory of Argentina (Spain didn't have a diplomatic recognition treaty with Buenos Aires yet). Pinzón and his 2 ships were at Port Stanely from Feb 27 to Apr 9, 1863. They fired a salute to the British flag and received Governor James Mackenzie on board. Pinzón represented Spain and accepted British sovereignty over the Falkland Islands.

  • @111jasy111 The Convention between Great Britain and the Argentine Confederation, for the Settlement of existing Differences and the re-establishment of Friendship (Arana-Southern Treaty). It was signed on 11/24/1849 and ratified on 5/15/1850 - in Buenos Aires. The treaty stated that it would bring about "the settlement of existing differences."

  • @111jasy111 After the Arana-Southern Treaty was ratified, Argentina did not mention the Falkalnds to Britain again until 1884 and the Falklands were not mentioned again in the annual messages to congress until 1941. There was ONE diplomatic protest to Britain about the Falklands between 1849 and the 20th Century - in 1888. That was it.

Your government, by acquiescence, relinquished all claims to the Falkland Islands. I regret to say this - but it's too late.

  • @PentaPapi

In 1825 Argentina and UK signed a joint agreement of Friendship, Trade and Navegation (Parish-Garcia Treaty) while the argentine flag was waving in Malvinas...

It was natural after all Britain had abandoned Malvinas half a century before.

The UK goverment relinquished any claim to the Malvinas islands by signing this treaty.

Also without Portugal, Brazil could have never obtained sovereignity on Trinidad Island...

Maybe you would be on the other side of this conflict...

  • @111jasy111 You incorrectly stated Great Britain occupied Trinidade e Martim Vaz for 200 years. Portugal helped - but in the end, my country recovered Trinidade and Great Britain FORMALLY and OFFICIALLY recognized those islands are sovereign Brazilian territory. No such agreement over Argentine sovereignty over the Falklands ever happened.

  • @PentaPapi Astronomer Edmund Halley took possession of Trinidad on behalf of the British Empire in 1700. In 1895, along with Portuguese support, Brazil recovered it. Not 200 years of British sovereignty but 195. I missed for 5 years. Sorry. My point is that there should have been many portuguese citizens at that time that surely complained about this hand of help that Portugal gave to Brazil, but you know there is no limit or frontier for those who are drenched in obsequiousness towards Britain.

  • @111jasy111 You err in assuming Great Britain maintained uninterrupted control from 1700 to 1895. You also err in overlooking the fact that Portugal discovered the islands in 1502, 2 years after Brazil was discovered, and that the islands became Brazilian territory after Brazil became independent from Portugal in 1822. If the British had maintained control for 195 years, why would they have "tried" again in 1895 if they had exerted control all along?

  • @PentaPapi Trinidad became Brazilian after Brazil became independent in 1822 (although Britain controlled it until 1895) like Malvinas became Argentine territory after Buenos Aires emancipated from Spain in 1810 and after the United Provinces of S. America became independent in 1816. The flag was raised on Malvinas on Nov 6th 1820 and until 1833 the following authorities administered the territory : David Jewett, Guillermo Mason, Pablo Areguati, Luis Vernet, Esteban Mestiver and Jose Pinedo.

  • @111jasy111

Vernet was an entrepreneur who requested and received British permission for a colony and reported progress to the British authorities - never a governor

Major Esteban Mestiver was a junior military commander sent to set up a penal colony in the British Falklands but his soldiers mutinied and killed him - never a governor

Captain Pinedo and 26 soldiers were expelled from the British Falkland in 1833 after landing illegally a few weeks earlier - never a governor

  • @PentaPapi

John Nova discovered Trinidad in 1501, one year before Esteban da Gama visited the island in 1502...

Edmund Halley took possession on behalf of Britain in 1700 and only until 1895 Trinidad could be part of Brazil thanks to Portuguese diplomatic efforts. For 195 years Trinidad & Martim Vaz, 1600 miles away from Brazil, were British islands.

I repeat: Britain didn't mention sovereignity issues on the Parish-Garcia Anglo-Argentine treaty of Friendship signed in 1825.

  • @111jasy111 As for obsequiousness, argentino, nice personal shot. I prefer to stick to real arguments.

  • @PentaPapi

Since 1774 Britain had no concern on the islands.

Britain knew that Spain controlled Malvina Oriental, after Bouganville's evacuation in 1767.

In 17714 the British population of "Port Egmont" was evacuated as well.

In 1790, Britain recognized every Spanish territorial possession, incluiding Malvinas (Nootka Sound Treaty).

Britain was aware that the Goverment of Buenos Aires had succeeded Spain since 1810 and recognized independence of the United Provinces in 1816.

  • @111jasy111 111jaysy111, You asked me when Spain gave the British on the Falklands a naval cannon salute. I answered you. You asked me when Argentina ceded sovereignty to Britain. I answered you (Arana-Southern Treaty). The Falklands weren't mentioned, but Argentina officially declared it no longer had any outstanding complaints or claims against Great Britain.

  • @PentaPapi The UK goverment signed the Anglo-Argentine agreement of Friendship, Trade and Navegation (Parish-Garcia Treaty) in 1825 WHILE THE ARGENTINE FLAG WAS WAVING IN MALVINAS. Following your logic, it can be said Britain ceded sovereignty to Argentina. Truth is, there is no specific mention of these islands, neither in Parish-Garcia Treaty nor in Arana-Southern Treaty. I could add that Britain recognized Spanish possessions in 1749 and in 1790 (Nookta Sound) and that included Malvinas.

  • @111jasy111 WRONG. There was no Argentine governor on the islands, the Argentine flag was NOT flying over the Falklands, and the navigation it referred to was naval traffic in the River Plate - NOT in Atlantic Ocean islands. As for Arana-Southern, I repeat: your country said it had NO outstanding disputes with Great Britain after the ratification of Arana-Southern. Peace treaties clean the slate between two nation-states at odds. The Treaty ended Argentina’s protests over the Falklands.

  • @PentaPapi You're wasting your time - Jasy really does believe the stuff he writes is real.

And all the time the Union Jack still flies over the FALKLANDS!

  • @PentaPapi What? You from Brazil? Are you aware that Trinidad Island was another STOLEN ISLAND by the UK? Ar you aware that thanks to Portugal, Brazil could get it back, after 200 years of being British illegally? Well, I guess that some Portuguese complained abaout that.. but you know, some people are really coward...

  • @111jasy111 Brazil established sovereignty over Trindade e Martim Vaz after negotiations with Great Britain. Occupied for 200 years illegally? I think not.

  • argies are naturally losers

  • The argies are pussys and idiots, hahahaa!
