If 312Million people get cancer in the USA its a good thing according to the GDP, since, say that ALL 312M cancer patients are being threated, it generates says 10.000 dollar per person. Thus 3120000M into GDP, so GDP rises with 3120000M which is a good thing according to GDP since it seems as if that country is rich.
But it isn't because it has 312M people dieing of cancer. Yet GDP says it's doing great.

Capitalism doesn't really account for the weak and poor ( they're basicly left to die, evolution style ), therefor we would need a small tax to maintain these people, to apply for this you'd really need to be in bad shape, so strong regulation is needed (not bureacricy style)

He wants to make huge cuts, there is a reason why the US doesnt do that, it will kick up unemployment, screw over schools and government funded areas. So yea, if it works, then he is all but right to withdraw all the troops. Besides, aid can still be delivered, you do NOT need military personal to deliver aid, merely to protect the Aid-Suppliers. Therefor you can send small devisions with the aid-suppliers to protect them. You don't need army bases for that!

@DarPower1 Yes he wants to cut A LOT, but what we need now is a RESET of the budget spending. So it's a good thing he cuts so many things. After that you can slowly pick the real important issues.
Most tax money isn't going to it's intended goal. A LOT stays in the management layers ( for example healthcare ). These guys provide nothing, add nothing, yet earn hundreds of thousands of euros.
It is complex and complicated, that's why RP is the only one with enough brains to do this.

@DarPower1 Sure the spending might be stable now, but it's still at what? 1 TRILLION deficit. Federal debt is over 100% GDP. Public debt is even higher. Student debt is incredible, so is credit card debt. That's NOT wealth at all, it's debt.
It's nice of you to pick the GDP and economic income in your argument. You see, these numbers are flawed.
Economic income is the AVARAGE income of people. It's the total income / population. This gives a very messed up image of income.

Heck, if you put the Unfunded Liabilities in the debt then it'd total 117T. That's 10 times GDP. 1000% debt to GDP ratio.
If i were an investor, i'd invest in Greece rather than the USA.

The dollar is no longer on the verge of collapse, and the UK is basically the USA if it were still 2008. Thats 10 times the GDP for one period income. The debt doesnt double every year. Thats fact. The USA bailed out its on banks from money that came from nowhere. Its pretty obvious that we the USA had to, it could pay it off. But obviously it doesnt.

@DarPower1 It doesn't represent actual wealth, since a LOT of americans work 2-3 jobs a family, whilst over here we have 1.5 - 2 jobs a family. This earns us about 10.000 dollars a year less, but for that we work 25 - 50% less. Therefor we could "boost" our income by the same percentage. ;)
Now for GDP. GDP is a really phony number, GDP says NOTHING about wealth. Unless you think that healthcare costs represents something good? The more people get cancer, the wealthier a nation is?

If 312Million people get cancer in the USA its a good thing according to the GDP, since, say that ALL 312M cancer patients are being threated, it generates says 10.000 dollar per person. Thus 3120000M into GDP, so GDP rises with 3120000M which is a good thing according to GDP since it seems as if that country is rich.
But it isn't because it has 312M people dieing of cancer. Yet GDP says it's doing great.
Therefor it does NOT represent Wealth.

@WGutjens No its not a good thing, a country is rich based on its economical power, its national income, and its working wealth within it. That respresents wealth, not YOUR examples. So far, the national income is great. The Economic power is highly fused with China's thus it remains boosted no matter what. And the working wealth had sharply hit bottom in 2008 but has recovered rather well. Just not well enough. Ron Paul will destroy two of those.

@DarPower1 You know that items that belong to people are not included in the GDP right? That when they are debt free and are coming off the market, are not included in the GDP anymore, since there is no sale made ( since only sales are encounted in the GDP ).
Simple example:
Country is debt free. Everyone has a house. No sales are made on house market, GDP:0
Country is 1T in debt. Total house debt is 1T. Many sales are made totalling 1T. GDP:1T
According to GDP country 2 is best. tho its not

@WGutjens You can say the GDP is phoney when you compare it to the debt. But what you dont say is that the GDP is something the USA gets peridocally, while the Debt always remiands. You cannot simply take its income and think the USA just blew it all in one year. Not how it works in the slighest, all the money saved up and the GDP compared to the actual borrowing really means little over the debt.

0 houses sold = 0 houses extra for GDP thus gdp remains stable thus it looks like it's something bad. Even tho, it might not be bad.

But think; doctors who are payed more than other doctors for their abilities will have their incomes reduced. It will be a first come first serve policy. That means no matter who has the more money, a person with a problem clearly of a worser degree will be leveled with others with a minor one. Thats a yawn to me.
