  • Well my 2 year old Daughter likes it.!!!!

  • @TheDonkey117 \m/

  • Ive been following Slough Feg for many years... they have a very cool, original way of writing songs and guitar lines. I love listening to them.

  • One word. EPIC.

  • i love this kind of old folkloric metal

  • fuck you all this music is the future.

  • The moment I hear this song, I HAVE to listen to the rest of the album.

  • @BahamutSeven That sir, is correct!

  • I wish they were still The Lord Weird Slough Feg in its entirety. Either way, they continue to put out the most epic classic metal I've heard lately.

  • @hilariousgas I second that. I feel a little of their edge has been taken off with Mr Cobbett going.

  • best oceanic spanning, merchandisers in this world!!! included the most recent gig flyers in their shipment of t-shirts, to my front door!!!!!!!!!......best concept, let alone lyricused epic concept, in my world, EVER!!!!! (and ia m an Australian, of 3 tiomes, welsh, Scotts and nord/English desent.....best smelling bad isdea that is people, ever. Us simply ias the best love you may hopw to fuck with!!!

  • I wish I had this album... :(

  • What a fucking great album. People should check out John Cobbet's band Ludicra and their album The Tenant.

  • @theconantroutman too bad they disbanded TT.TT but then... im quite sure aesop could have told you about this band

  • Great sound. Reminds me of Psychotic Waltz, not in terms of style, but in uniqueness. Glad to have stumbled upon this band.

  • It kind of remind me to Warrel Dane in the 90's

  • Damn this motherfucker grooves.

  • BEAST. This is a TRUE metal band = D

  • shit this is pretty good

  • why havent i heard of these befores??

  • metal for erer!!!

  • Anyone hear some Skyclad influence in this band overall?

  • @PennyDreadful1 Hell yeah, first band I thought of when I heard this song. Like Skyclad mixed with old Manowar or something. Check out Clan destined if you havnt already =)

  • The revival of classic metal.

  • Who the hell cares? Both Iron Maiden and Slough Feg are freaking amazing.

  • Mike Scalzi sounds absolute unique, there is no Bruce Dickinson in his voice, and Helloween???Are you kidding me???There is no other Band in Metal like Slough Feg,every Album is absolutely new and unique, but its always slough feg with the cool hooks and long solo! You cant put them anywhere cause Mike was influenced by musicals,Punk(!!!),Hardcore,Epics(Manilla Road,Brocas Helm,Thin Lizzy) and...up to a point Metal Bands of ourt youth, but the only sing you REALLY can figure out,is Manilla&Thin.

  • @PredigerSHARP

eh i beg to differ, i could hear how someone might think there is a similar sounding to bruce, but only in the true uniqueness, i guess the tell all would be for Slough Feg to cover a maiden song, preferably a vocal strenuous, like Run to the hills or Hallowed

  • @PredigerSHARP You can actually put Slough Feg somewhere: INSANE METAL!!!!!!!

  • This is indeed a genious album. I should check out more of their albums.

Does anybody else think this sounds very much like Iron Maiden?

  • It doesn't sound anything like Iron Maiden.

  • @HikoSeijuroXIII You seriously don't hear the resemblance?

  • You need to train your ears better.

  • @HikoSeijuroXIII Perhaps you need to listen to Maiden a bit more.

  • Nope, I've listened to them extensively ever since the early eighties.

  • @HikoSeijuroXIII Just for clarification I was talking about the whole album.

  • Doesn't matter, I was talking about the whole band.

  • @HikoSeijuroXIII The galopping bass? Bruce sounding a lot like the singer? The riffs?

  • First of all, Dickinson sounds nothing like Scalzi. The riffs are not even similar, for one TLWSF have much more memorable and more folky riffs which draw inspiration from epic metal greats such as Manilla Road and Brocas Helm. Even the atmosphere and the lyrical content of the two bands is vastly different. The "galloping" bass? Bolt Thrower has galloping bass, so do many death metal and even black metal bands.

  • @HikoSeijuroXIII Listen to the verses in The Evil That Men Do and compare it to this.

The riffs I don't have an example for at the moment, but I will in due time.

The lyrical content is different I'll give you that, but I'm not agreeing on the atmosphere, since Maiden has tons of different ones.

The galloping bass was because Maiden use it the same way that Slough Feg use it.

  • Nothing alike at all. IM has different sound and style.

  • @HikoSeijuroXIII We obviously have different views on music, so lets just leave it at this.

  • @HikoSeijuroXIII

Like most metal bands Slough Feg was influenced by Iron Maiden a fact they proudly wear on their sleeves. I also hear a huge influence of Helloween, who are themselves influenced by Iron Maiden. Also you hear an influence of "Epic Metal" which was a genre that came out in the early 80's (Mannila Road, Medieval Steel). Great band!

  • But they still don't sound anything like them. Not even Helloween sounds anything like Iron Maiden. Get that straight first.

  • I can't listen to this song without wanting to run down the street destroying everything i see. This song inspires one to pillage.

  • The cosmic tide only hours away.. The Temporal engens burning hot

they loaded up there suplies and gear

A foe threaghtaning there planets they rise to ware to protect there homelands in an epic struggle in space

Beams of light filled the sky in greens blues purples and reds energy flew Explosions. Everyware.. the sun peeking around the planet sheading light on the battle of space fortresses in the sky

  • Epic Metal rulez!!!

  • Fucking great music! Doesn't get much better then this.

  • Galleys that fly

    Out of the north

    Painting the sky-ways red

    Plundering forth

  • actually best metal band!

  • EPIC AS FUCK!!

  • This song is awesome. Im new to this band (shame on me). I knew of them, but thought them a bit weird, so I didnt give em the chance until now!!

  • awesome band
