  • Wow! it's very hard to pronounce ı,ç,ş,ü letters in Turkish. But you're good! keep working my friend. Only pay more attention on the letter 'ı' you pronounce it like 'i'. Try to watch turkish movies. They are not so bad. :) And if you (or anybody) want to ask anything about Turkish grammer or pronounciation feel free to contact me.

Bluestorage, i use this account only to learn languages. And i know it seems so bad. :) but be sure that i'll feed back you.

again..Anladım..not Anladiim..And anlamadım... not anlamadim. ( ı-i) they all should be in ı letter work on ü sound

you are very good at a-e-i vowels.

a tip for you...always make the vowels loooong.. so that you'll definitely sound more clear when you start to struggle.

  • u r sexy guy!

  • bro some advice on turkish is learnjuss read as u would write it thres no accents if u learn the alphabet

  • WOW! This sounds so difficult.

  • Hej!

I don't know much about Russian and Turkish pronunciation.

All I can remember is that the final -R in Turkish sounds more like an SH.

So "hayır", "bir", "var", etc. sound more like "hayış", "biş", "vaş", etc.

Native speakers may deny this, but you can judge by yourself when you listen to them saying those words in a casual situation.

  • I think that it's because the final "r" in Turkish is slightly devoiced, making it sound slightly like a shushing sound, but still distinct enough not to be confused with ş.

  • @0stsee no, the final 'r' in turkish sounds nothing like 'sh' it either sounds like a regular 'r' in english or depending on the persons "accent" it is slightly or completely silent... never an "sh" sound.

  • You Russian prononcuation is very good!!! I really liked it, keep it up!

  • Vzaimoponimaniye!!! lol, good pronounciation

  • When you read the Russian, were you reading it in their language, or was it tranlated to english

  • Thank you all!))

  • while listening to turkish you could learn automatically the right pronounciating.. could start with my videos ;)

  • for just one week practice you´re pretty good :)

its quite hard to give you advices via youtube.. sure i could make a video repeating evthing you said but i dont put personal videos on youtube.. so im gonna try it this way;) one important thing is the pronounciation of the "i without dot".. you spell it similiar to the "i" in "a bit" :P

in general i can say you your turkish sounds kinda arabic to me cuz u overemphasize some words^^

  • It looks like my comment disappeared, but anyway, I recommend you pick up "Elementary Turkish" by Lewis V Thomas from amazon. It is a great little turkish textbook with exercises that you can work to practice what you learn.

  • Turkish and Russian? I also have studied those! Russian is very difficult but I love it, it's a wonderful language. Some of the sounds in Russian are a bit strange, though. I'm not turkish but I think your turkish pronunciation is very good. The only thing that might give you trouble is the dotted o. Just remember that in turkish the dotted vowels are made in the front of the mouth, undotted in the back. The dotted o is often represented as "er", which is reasonably close.
