I started to get into using daws (ableton specifically) and it amazes me that all the stuff in it is based off real world analog objects, not to mention they are bloody huge.
LOL!!! I love it! I'm getting ready to build my own modular similar to the MFOS modules. I'm making a monophonic keyboard/ trigger system out of a Rhodes electric piano. I love the way the keys feel :) so that is my first move. I did build a system similar to an ARP 2600 a couple years ago but, took the lazy mans path and used 555 timers. Works! but, I could have done a much better job.
yes. i have only recently gotten into analog synths, and am learning lots. at the rate I am going in a few years I'll be as crazy as you are. the swing video is really interesting. and really lkenthe design of your MFOS sequencer. come down here and visit. thanks from santiago, Chile.
@rodrigosalvatierrar : Clearly I do not try to hide that. Thanks for checking out my videos and welcome to the geek club (hey, you're on the tube watching this type of dribble right?) LOL
Sorry about the comments removed. Just started using my profile here on youtube and not sure how everything works yet. Good work Thomas. Are you going to open a studio soon? Looks like you have a nice collection of analog gear.
I enjoyed your video so much it got me thinking of a simpler way to make swing time. You can get the same swing time pattern with just a LFO (as a clock source), a Pulse Divider, and a Catgirl Synth Burst Generator. LFO Out to Pulse Divider In. Pulse divider /2 Out to Burst Generator Trig In. Set the "Repeats" to 2 on the Burst Generator and dial in the Swing Amount with the "Speed" pot. The Pulse Out is the new "swinging" clock. I am analog too ;-)
i love your cabinets. i personally would have them in 19 inch racks and virtually light weight for easy transport and no need for a forklift to move them.

I always think about doing more cabinets, but I don't gig with this and moving them is a bitch like you say. Oh well, someday (maybe). Ha!
