  • is that @ pichao state park in california

  • WHen you use the kit, does the forward assist still work? I noticed you used the chagre to reload.

  • would this be a good gun for home protection?

  • @379peterbilt530 no, not at all

  • @malro67 fuck you a 22 can fuck someone up

  • @379peterbilt530 noooooo, this is mainly a varmint rifle or small game, go for a shotgun of some sort or revolver for protection reasons.

  • @379peterbilt530 While a .22 might not having the punch of a 5.56 or .223 - it doe smuch more damage internally when you actually do shoot soft targets. So yes, in fact, it could be used well for home protection.

  • @379peterbilt530 Yeppers...................if you're protecting your home from beer cans! Come on you can't be serious.

  • @wrduckclub a 22 would deffinitely kill some one but I'm getting a 5.56 NATO

  • do you need a different barrel when switching between a .22lr and a .223?

  • Comment removed

  • @darkcosmos88 you dont need a differnt barrel. its so close it works.

  • Have you had any jams with this model because I'm thinking about get this?

  • @imabeastman33 There are occasional jams but no more than 1 or 2 out of a 100 rounds. For a .22 i'd say that's pretty damn good ;). And that's with shooting cheap federal brand ammo too. I'm sure with CCI mini mags it would be almost 100%.

  • cool gloves man..where did u get them

  • @istuddd thank you ;). they are just my work gloves that i got from walmart with the index finger and thumb cut off on my shooting hand.

  • FPSAmerica

  • What kind of magazines are you using?

  • @mychipom black dog machine ar15/22 mags from brownells

  • you like like the guy off of tim and eric great job show lol

  • hows the reliability on the 22 conversion kit? have u had any problems is it worth getting?

  • @boozeye66 I have about 99% reliability with it, It is more reliable than some of my dedicated .22lr rifles. It is totally worth getting if you want to practice with the AR ergonomics and not blast away a bunch of .223.

  • @malro67 ok thanks all prob be getting one of these conversions thanks for the video

  • @boozeye66 On another note, just be aware of this.. I had to run about 500 rounds through the conversion kit to really break it in. So don't be surprised if the reliability is less than spectacular at first. Also, it likes to run WET so keep it nice and lubed ;). Good luck!

  • @malro67 ok kool thanks any type of ammo perfered from breaking it in??

  • @boozeye66 What you see in the video is all I usually shoot and is also what I used to break it in. CCI mini mags are always good but the Federal bulk packs work great and are alot cheaper. I would stay away from "hyper velocity" stuff like CCI stingers, they will run fine but you'll see that they are wildly inaccurate through this barrel for some reason. I would also stay away from remington golden bullets, i've had a case rupture in my face from one of those and it was not fun.

  • @malro67 lol why does it sound like someone shooting spitwads. my 223 CMMG ar 15 is loud, and my 22lr conversion is on the way in the mail. did you soak urs in oil or anything before use? did u buy from CTD? and why is urs so quiet cuz its a .22? thanks for the vid and for answering questions!

  • @randallschecter I'm only shooting .22lr.. last I checked that caliber doesn't make much noise.. No I did not soak the conversion kit in oil, however, I did lubricate the rails and the faux .223 shell case that fits into the chamber. I purchased my kit from Brownells. I don't think mine is any quieter than others.

  • what trigger you got on that thing it has nice reset

  • @androoziee360 It's a Rock River Arms 2 Stage. Excellent trigger, the break and reset is very consistent and crisp.

  • @malro67 I might have to get that. Thanks for the quick reply.

  • I like your set up. Magpul gets it done.

Junk will always be target practice but lately I've been plinking using a steel reactive target made by Evil Roy (model "PT" w/ 8" plate). They are not cheap, about $150 in my case but steel is the next level. The satisfaction of putting .22 rounds 75+yrds down range and hearing positive hits is what recreational shooting is all about, fun!

    Check 'em out, keep shootin.

  • @tydurden016 Yeah I've seen those they look awesome. 150$ sounds very reasonable for something you can shoot at forever though. My wife will probably kill me if I add something else on the Christmas list, lol. Thanks for watchin.

  • Thank god! I thought i bought a "lemon"!! So there is a break in period. Phew. I was really depressed until today.
