why did you put butter in the hot sauce

@Bwaunsch See my Buffalo Wings video as that recipe uses butter too (authentic buffalo wing sauce calls for butter). The butter will make it a bit thicker, richer and assist in the sauce coating the wings. A must! cheers, KtC
