As far as racing games go, nothing beat the Lotus series on the amiga. Those games where incredibly well done for the time, quite fun to play even. This looks a little meh and to be honest, the original is rather mediocre as well.
@frigginjoe U.S. Gold were a publisher who parceled out work to different teams, they never had an in-house team in the manner of, say, Ocean. All the Outrun games were parceled out to Probe Software to convert (or in this case develop). The god-awful original and not-much-better Turbo conversions were done by a Probe team who later became ICE. IMO there was no excuse for such a jerky framerate here when Lotus and XJ220 proved the Amiga could do much better.
ive got this game on the master system and its terrible along with the music! This version is better than all the others and the intro music takes me back to some good times!
This looks like it might have been a decent game. I never played it because after seeing the absolute crap conversion of the original Outrun and Turbo Outrun, I pretty much wrote off the entire series as being crap.
@GamerSpencer - I know. I loved the arcade version of Outrun (even though I was never very good at it), which is why the Amiga version was such a disappointment.
Looks like a mighty fine un-canon Outrun game. Variety and quality graphics.

This was a surprisingly good game from US Gold who basically only released crap conversions!
But the motorcycle sounds more like a tractor!
Hill-Billy Outrun, anyone?

U.S. Gold stamped on it and it doesn't look like utter crap. Wow. :D
I might look for this one.

@lurkerrekrul And yet Outrun in the arcade was by far the BEST of its era!
