The side airbag in the W220 S-Class is mounted in the DOOR not the Seat

The 8 airbags might be dual front, front seat mounted side, rear seat mounted side, and 2 knee bolsters.

I don't know. You figure that this would have curtian aibags, Autoliv invented them in '98, and this is a '00 S class.

No they are dual front, front and rear side, and dual curtains.

What? A car in this price class should have knee bolsters. In 2000, DaimlerChrysler made knee bolsters an option on the little $12,000 Neon.

only if they are necessary in such cars, the S could be seen as a strong enough car without the need of knee bags. anyway this is isnt a bad positioning of the airbag, its just a test of the side bag alone.

@firedemon101 Look at where the camera is mounted, there is no roof in this car; they cut it away. Also, just because one side airbag goes off doesn't mean they all have to.
