  • Lol,You'll need some good soap to wash that off.

  • LOL the head-smack is priceless

  • he looks just like my Mauzer! we just adopted Mauzer from the shelter. why do u give him coconut oil?

  • @Phoebe2048 Micmac was always quite thin despite the huge furry coat. I give my cats omega 3 oils to prevent excess shedding. MM told me he liked organic, non processed coconut oil & so I'd often give him just a little bit to soften his skin. He rarely asked for treats. He just always wanted love & attention most of all.

  • That is such a beautiful cat!

  • big fluffy cat needs to be petted and cuddled. he's almost as big as the dog.

  • That was so sweet, loved the way he tilted his head down to say "fuss me", when you asked what he wanted.

Also loved it when you said "coconut oil" the way dar appears as if to say "did somebody mention coconut oil?"

Then steals the oil from your fingers.

  • I want that cat!

  • i am so very sorry he is no longer with u ...he is so like my oscar same chatty sounds too i miss him every single day there will never be another .....you are lucky to have had him for the time you did and i am sure he had a charmed life with you ....:))

  • oh I know that so well - my Shui is doing the same thing!

  • wonderful ^_^

  • Oh, I'm so sorry for your loss. We have a ginger MC, Schrodie, who is just a bit over a year old, and already about 20lbs. He is the sweetest, silliest, clumsiest cat I've ever had. His older calico "sisters" bully him, but he never fights, and he's taken the new little rescue fuzzball under his wing (she looks like a MC, too, but she's full-grown and tiny!). Micmac was lucky to have such a loving cat mom. I wish the best for you and all your other animal pals.

  • Ah, the wonderous world of the fantastic mainecoon

  • I watched many videos of Micmac and immediately fell in love with him! Then I saw in one comment, that he has passed away and I felt so sad. I've watched more videos of him with tears in my eyes. He seemed to be such a kind and lovely cat. I wish I had a cat like him some day!

  • why did you feed coconut oil to Micmac ?

  • I'm sorry about Micmac. If it helps, if it weren't for these lovely videos of Micmac, I wouldn't have decided to get a Maine Coon. I've now had my Minnie for 5 months and she's brightened my life and I can see that Micmac has brightened yours.

  • Thank you for your kind words. I hope soon to find another MC to carry on MM's legacy. It has a been a tragedy that still affects me every day. I cried over your comment.

  • @jzathey You're welcome. I hope I didn't upset you. Before I adopted Minnie, I lost my cat of 12 years, Esmeralda, to breast cancer. That was 3 years ago and I still miss Ezzie. So I know what it's like.

  • I really like it. my cats just the same here in England UK

  • so i am confused how did you get him to respond to his name and follow you?

my maine coon looks at me and goes back to sleep

  • I've done this all my life. I speak to my cats ONLY ever using their voice, in different inflections. Dogs have a larger capacity for human vocabulary but cats respond best when you only use their name. That's why, if you see my other videos, you'll see me call Micmac & he comes. Then I call Moggie and he comes.

It also helps that I'm home 90% of the time and we interact constantly. I rarely have music on & never watch tv. So my "family" talks to me and I talk to them with respect

  • I cannot get any work done...because I cant stop watching this video.

  • I'm truly sorry for your loss. He was a beautiful cat and I love watching his videos. It is such a gift that you will always have these to watch and remember him by. We used to have an outdoor Maine Coon but one day he just never came back... We think coyotes got him. Any cat we've had since has been indoor. I don't know how you could have lived without him for 8 months. Maine Coons have such personalities. They are really special cats. You got one that was one of a kind.

  • Gorgeous cat! When I get a cat I wish him/her to be like Micmac - big, beautiful and talkative. :)

  • My Maine Coon Mattie, talks ALL the time!! He's a big suck, and I love him to pieces ; )) aren't they just THE best cats ever?? YESSS!!!! ; ))

  • i have the same kind of cat and he does the same thing!!

  • He/She looks like a lion.

  • At 1:41, that's not a tail, that's a plume!

    Majordomo Micmac.

  • Thank you for keeping him alive. Forever....

  • I love Micmac's voice. She (he?) sounds so bossy!

  • Wow - coconut oil huh? I do have them. I think I will see if Pookie will like it. He is too skinny so does not hurt if he gets a little meat in him.

  • I love watching your videos of Micmac, and hearing him talk. It reminds me so much of my Maine coon that I lost.

  • for a second, it looked like he wasn't going to lick your hand haha. my maine coon used to sniff something on my hand for about 5 seconds before she decided she didn't want to taste it and would just walk away.

  • We should market catnip perfume & have all the cats of the world enamoured of us when we dab it on our wrist.

  • Why do you give him coconut oil?

  • Organic, unprocessed coconut oil helps to lubricate the skin and the hair follicles, preventing animal fur from shedding. A better source of oils is omega 3, from flax oil, or fish oils, preferably sardine and herring. My cats get capsules of these oils, but since Micmac loves coconut oil and I know it's not detrimental to his health, I will give him a bit if he asks. If he were overweight, I would not, as it is a saturated fat. It's quite yummy on toast, if you eat bread (I rarely do).

  • Thanks, good to know. I'm planning on getting a Maine Coon next year. I wanted one for now 6 years. I just hope he will get along with m other cat...I'll try the coconut oil on him :)

  • LOL when MicMac headbutts (teethbutts?) the camera, poor baby! Hope he didn't hurt himself. I loved listening to him purr and meow, such tiny sounds out of a great big cat! 5/5 stars! Maines are what I call Puppy Cats. They'll follow you everywhere. Good thing for us, eh? Too bad I can't have one where I live - give MicMac a pat and a purr from me, 'k?

  • Micmac's so cute!! He speaks so mellifluously!!.

  • Micmac's fans, it seems, are eloquence personified. Thank you.

  • Lol, thank you! :)

  • Aww, he's just too cute for his own good! I love him and his little meow.. And MCs in general. Does he always follow you everywhere? I've heard that MCs tend to do that.. And he smacked the camera pretty good there lol.

  • Yes, he does follow me everywhere. There is no such thing as bathroom privacy in my home.

  • I love how Maine Coons meow: for their size, they have tiny kittenish meows! ADORABLE vid; give that sweet furry baby (((HUGS))), pats, and purrs from the TxStoryTeller! :D FIVE stars!!

  • i talk to cats like that from time to time :)
