Derby-X is a great LED light! Every DJ out there should get 1 or more (and link them). They are pretty cheap ($120 or less), very bright, cover a large area and are rated for 100,000 hrs!
and no you do not need dmx to make the light sound activated i have never used dmx before but i just read what switches to use to make it sound active
@joker75181 its not the fog machine thats important its the way you use it, if its used properly you should be able to see the beams but not be able to tell theres fog in the room, when you can see the beams a little bit thats enough fog check this out

no i did use fog it was just light out so it appears with no fog
