ok well honestly if you look at the 2011 music video they play it in the key of D... so its a I V vi IV or D A Bm G. Not that you couldnt use this as a tutorial on correct rhythm or correct phrasing because its pretty much a basic tutorial of decent quality. That being said doing this in the Key of E is a bit more frustrating for me. When i started out Cm was a pain Bm was much easier, but its all abt preference.

When playing chords, don't move your hand so much around the piano. Also, it'll help to practice a more efficient fingering.

For your E chord, rather than using your thumb (1), middle (3), and ring finger (4), use 1-3-5

B, you already have B under your 5 so don't move that one. just move your pointer finger (2) up the D# and move 3 over to hit the F#

C#m,the notes just go up: D# to E, F# to G#, B to C# but play with 1-2-3

A, bring 2 down to A

E. A goes back up to G#, C# down to B
