If you've heard him over the years, you can notice some things that came easily he now has to push through and vocal range on a run is a little less defined. His story, his testimony, is all the stronger, maybe more so than it has ever been. To see peace on that man's face is beautiful. It's a story of grace.
When God gives you a great talent and a great mission, satan will try to destroy it. Michael has been restored and everyone who is a true Christian should uphold him in prayer.
Michael's a great singer. I wish he wouldn't feel the need to rewrite the melodies of songs though. "Bowed On My Knees" is a beautiful song but it's nearly unrecognizable in the last few years Michael has been singing it. "Midnight Cry" is the same way. If you heard the actual song that Greg & Chuck Day wrote, you wouldn't recognize the tune at all.
I am with you, but I am assuming that he just cannot bring it the way he used to. He cannot control breath to carry those notes and cannot hit the notes the way he used to. His voice seems a shadow of himself vocally and twice himself weight-wise. He is still better than most with that song and many more.
I am a huge fan, but the sad truth is that his voice is 1/10 what it used to be and he hasn't taken care of himself physically and is way overweight. in his prime he was the greatest singer i have ever heard, hope he can continue to stay healthy, he is a great guy
He is much heavier than he was the first time he was with GVB. Between that and the drugs he once abused, his voice is not what it once was. But his testimony makes up for it.
It kind of looks like Mike has put on a little bit of weight doesn't it? Hahaha. He is an amazing saint isn't he? I know however that we all contain beautiful blessings that we can share ourselves. God made us all just the way we are and very soon we'll be able to see the one that died for us. I cannot wait to finally see the face of Jesus and just cling to Him.
I will honestly tell you that he looks in tip top shape and not overweight. His shirt is billowy. I was sitting in front of him and shooting at an upward angle. IT's a distorting view. Believe me, he is a head turner and looks superb. I wish he'd come close enough for me to see and hear him again. He is truly blessed.
I've read Michael's book twice. I am so thankful to those who were there to pray for and to encourage him. I love him not only because of his gift of music, but because he is such a grateful and faithful witness. He is such an inspiration .
His voice was wonderful in person. I only caught snippets and wish I had been able to get more. I was completely awed by what I saw and heard this past Sunday. Go see him. You won't be disappointed.
Standing with him and looking face to face, he looks the epitome of health and happiness.

Nice to see Michael still singing, though.

He sang PERFECTLY in person. Strong, smooth, wonderful. I have an old camera that doesn't do him justice but I still had to capture the moment.
