  • I have one problem with my slapshot: I'm allways afraid i'm gonna break my stick (reebok 6k sickick 3, 75 flex) so i can't flex it enough ---> slapshot has no power :(.

  • ooooooooh ok

  • you got a massive curve on the rbk

  • I thought u were supposed to make the goalie lose his head:)

  • I like the tips but his right arm is bending before it should.

  • Question When you tie ur skates do u wrap the extra lace around for support?

  • the two people who disliked it were fowards...

  • @itzarshia You won't get higher than 65 because that your body's maximum strength. Keep on training, you'll see when you turn 14,15,16 your power will improve.

  • subbed

  • hi im 13 and im a defense man..my shots around 65 but i cant getter higher than that. any tips?

  • I have a O.K. slap shot on a shooting mat but i cant seem to get my slapshot in the air and fast on ice how can i fix this?

  • coollllll

  • what kind of hockey stick

  • Would this work in ball hockey?

  • @dogthedog2 probably

  • i have problems balancing when doing slapshots, its kinda like when i take one i kinda stuble or almost fall back.

  • @mrslapshots I have them too :)!!!

I was on dfense last year and got a goalie 2x in the face 1 from blue line and 2 off that rebound. 2nd went in tho :D

  • you're the first person i've seen with the same gloves as me

  • i can wrist shot fine but when i slap shot it looks like a weak pass, i ended up breaking my warriors blade trying to get them right. any help on why they go nowhere?

  • you need to make more defense tips :D

  • @capsfan89128 We have a new article about when to pinch. It will be on the website soon.

  • @howtohockeydotcom thanks. i play high school with about 5 or 6 teams in my league and i'm one of the best D in my league, but there is always room to improve.

  • @capsfan89128 one tip for you on how to be a deadly defensemen on the score board is to only bring your stick to about hip-height when winding up believe it or not the motion from your shoulder to your hip is wasted energy winding up to hip-height still gives you the power you want but gets it off a lot faster so the goalie wont have as much time to set on your shot

  • @capsfan89128 why dont you just get better yourself insead of on the computer

  • @hockey101201 Because their videos help me get better? And how are you going to tell me to get better myself than on the computer if you are on the computer looking for tips as well?

  • Can You Give Me some tips for being a forward Please? Thanks alot. :D

  • Good advice. Btw wth curve u got on that thong man xD looks illegal

  • hi, i have trouble getting my slap shot in the air..any tips?

    Thanks

  • @nickredbull815 You probably have a problem with your technique. You could check out our website, we have a bunch of articles on how to improve your slapshot. We are posting a new one very soon on slapshot accuracy.

  • @nickredbull815 ur most likely hitting the puck directly on your shot instead of hitting the ice 2 inches before you hit the puck (in the video they call this "loading the stick".) Do this and you pretty much will blast bullets off the ice every time you want it to come up

  • @nickredbull815 make sure ur hitting at the heal

  • @nickredbull815 its probably 1 ure followthrough isnt going high enough and two ure not getting the nessacary fex in you shout so wen you take a slap shot you should hit the ice 1-2 inches before the pucka dn then with that flex you stick then power through the shot aalso transfer you weight from you backfoot to your front when shooting that should help you get more flex when shooting

  • @nickredbull815 pratice, follow through and lift the stick up higher, you are likely following through low. Work on your strength, this means core and upper body, and practicing with a weighted puck will help forearm stregth and when you return to a normal puck it will be that much easier.

  • this was really helpful im a forward turning into a defensemen so if you could make some videos on what to do when im on defense that'd be great

  • i have the same gloves as you.

  • @blindspy Try putting the puck a bit in front of you, and then skating into the shot. Sometimes players line up the puck the same as if they were standing still, then the puck ends up to far back when they shoot.

Practice a lot and you will get it!

  • @blindspy im the exact oppisite :P

  • theres no volume when the dudes talking..

  • @Noss2nv turn your speakers on :D

  • @howtohockeydotcom ahahah the 2nd time i watched it, it worked wooh :)

  • slap shots are hard......

  • nice vid man.. my shots used to always either go over the net or hit the goalie in the mask.. sometimes a top shelf one but yeah this vid helped me keep em lower.. good job on the vids - subbed

  • @ry4nx Thanks for subscribing, we are going to start a slapshot challenge soon!

  • LOL at 1:42 when you say the puck goes nice'n'low it goes just under the bar

  • @TickleTheMonster I think you need to re-watch that. I tried checking it on here but it was almost impossible to tell. I checked the original HD file, frame by frame, on a 55 inch screen and zoomed it in. It goes about an inch over the hockey stick we set up. I can send a screen shot if you don't believe me ;)

  • No its ok I realized im sorry.

  • @TickleTheMonster No worries, it's tough to see on the youtube video anyways. Thanks for watching.

  • I think it's hard to keep the puck low. If I do, it doesn't go that good.

  • @MrHman33 Try putting the puck a bit back in your stance, this will keep the puck low, and add a bit more speed. The only problem is that it is very hard to aim.

  • Another great video!
