I'm pretty sure it's just bartender. All they've done is incorporated more bars and put them beside each other. You can have a maximum of like 9 bars or something lol
whether this is hard mode or not, do you get more drops or something if you kill the boss on hard mode vs. easy? cuz if u dont i really dont see the purpose of hard mode besides the challenge which really isnt worth it.....
This achievement is called Knock on Wood. If you go to your achievements page now, you will see that another one popped up : Knock, Knock on Wood. The actual hard mode is Knock, Knock, Knock on Wood. This is not hard mode. Just like Siffed is not hard mode on Thorim (only if you kill him after wards but thats another thing) or Nerf Gravity Bombs / -Scrap Bots / Must Deconstruct faster on XT.
Sorry to disappoint you, but this isn't hard mode. In order to get access to the higher ilvl loot, as well as Freya's Sigil for the Algalon quest, you need to keep ALL 3 elders up while engaging Freya.
Leaving only 1 or 2 up gives you more emblems, and achievements, but it is NOT considered Freya's hard mode. Call it a 'medium mode' if you want.

Plus hardmode, given you beat the Stone Council on hard mode, Freya will produce her Cygil as loot for the key to Algalon.

It clearly states in the video that they left 1 elder alive for the encounter, making it hard mode.
But yes, this tactic will still work in regular.

After looking at your actual videos I came to find that youtube doesn't have the brighest uploaders.
Just because you get an achievement for doing an encounter a different way does not make it hardmode.
Hardmode Freya is killing her with 3 elders alive because you get additional loot for it, the achievement is pretty much just to show that you did it.
Your logic is the same as saying the Disarmed achievement on Kologarn or Shutout on Flame Leviathan is hardmode.
