India is a country of 1.2 Billion people---even if 0.01% of the people can afford tickets, that comes to 1.2 million people. I cannot see how that is not enough to fill the grand stands.
India had six years to get Eden Gardens ready for the India/England cricket world cup match and couldn't even manage that! Do you really expect this track to be ready, let alone up to F1A standards. For one, all the stray dogs, cows, rats and beggars will have to be cleared/culled! Whats the safety car going to be? An Ambassador or an auto-rickshaw!
@gsmith1970 na, its gonna be gsmith1970 in a go-kart, that too without a helmet, its gonna be fun to have him and his kart as a safety car.
Firstly, before showing your ignorance, you should learn details about the project like who is building, what is their previous record in construction, who are the funding companies etc etc. First learn that, then come here and comment.
And no, no dogs, cows etc are being culled as the government gives a fck about F1 and some of its dickhead fans like you.
@762SLR762 and ppl not being able to afford tickets is funny.India is not like they show on tv mate, its much more than that. All they ever show is the slums and poor people whom on seeing one would think whole of india is like that but its really not.Its just that the interest is the sport is lacking and i wouldn't expect all the 150,000 or soo seats to be filled up.Getting in around 50,000 would be like a job well done. But i'm sure the number will grow..com'on man look at the track,Its amazing!
@762SLR762 :If you are under the impression that it will me much like the cwg, you are wrong...cwg hasn't got any takers firstly because the man responsible,Mr.Kalmadi is involved in numerous corruption cases related to the games and is responsible for the delay in preparing the infrastructure needed. So as sensible citizens people here are boycotting the games as it has put the country to shame...and secondly none really follow athletics, rugby n stuff ...With F1 thats not the case, is it?
762SLR762- U r a piece of shit dwelling in a country I guess has nothing but bullshit guys like u... We are very proud F1 lovers and we highly appreiciate a track in India.... we expect many more
Very good info! I appreciate it very much. I hope your piece of information will alert all viewers. Upload the video please for the right place for all F1 Fans to visit India for F1 Indian Grand Prix. Help India in this type of Sports-Tourism industry. Again, thank you so much.
I hope this time everything will be ready unlike the Commonwealth Games was disgrace for India
