FYI: The portrait at 1:29 was the final product in the 1945 film version of Oscar Wilde's "The Portrait (or prehaps it's picture - sorry, can't recall right now) of Dorian Gray". Great work!
I was raised in Harvey, Illinois and never heard about this artist. I am so sad nothing about him was taught in our schools. Thank you for this site. I have sent it to all of my siblings and cousins.
Really appreciate the vid, Ivan Albright a more significant artist than most would admit, as if Edgar Allen Poe took to the easel describing that side of life that is very far from typical American reference points: Very dark. Embodying Birth, Death and Suffering (all in one image) with extraordinary detail. That very detail in Albright's darkness is what always unsettled me.
Take a look at my video production. You will find all kinds of interesting between heaven and earth! You will not be disappointed!

This is beautiful. Long ago, my parents met Ivan Albright, though I never did.
