  • My kids were taken out of state. I think about of them every day.

  • a classmate from my class died and they played this song and it was a really nice song

anthony was 9 in 4th grade

    rip

  • I just balled my eyes out to this song. And I do every time I hear it. I lost my 2 month old baby cousin. I miss him soo much. It is not fair but we have to move on I guess:-( This song is beautiful but so sad to me because it is the song they played the his funeral. So its very special to me. It is very very had to listen to though.

  • My sister is pregnant with her first child, Aiden, after she miscarried twice. This song makes me think of the life she will have with her son. I love her so much.

  • Wow, some opf you Yamks really know how to throw a spanner in the works!! This is such beautiful music and here are some of you so twisted and bent out of shape about stupid politics Just breathe now...yeah that's it take a deep breath.....and to the one's who just cant let all that anger go "DONT BREATHE OUT....EVER"!!

  • @CoPilotstuntdriver From a yank: You won't ever hear the thud when your head hits the ground from saying something that stupid out loud.

  • This is about pure love and just the sweetest lullaby made this century! Need to learn this for my Grandson.

  • this is such a great song and they are so amazing live. it's a shame what happened, who knows what great music we're missing out on now.

  • Brilliant.

  • I just heard this song on a blog of a mother who lost her 1st born to incompetent cervix. I lost mine due to the same thing on June 6th. And it makes me think of him.

  • Love this song..heck I love all the dixie chicks songs!!! Plain and Simple (the dixie chicks rock) no matter what they say...Just an opinion, they truely are talented!

  • @paverop @Therealmensa Take this fight somewhere else please. This song means a lot to a lot of people and your fighting is kind of ruining it. Fight in your messages or something.

  • My son is away beginning his career in the Army, we have never been out of contact for this long and I miss him so much! Knowing where he will go next is hard even though I am so incredibly proud of him. Godspeed Little man, you may be a soldier but you will always and forever be my baby! I love you!!

  • This was a flawless performance. This is actually my favorite Dixie Chicks song. So sad yet so personal and it bring a near tear everytime I hear it. Love <3

  • This song came out right after my son passed away in 2002. It's is Dalton's song to me. I listen it to remind me of my precious little boy. R.I.P. Dalton, we love you baby

  • @Pampiress11 Im so sorry to hear about your loss. I have a 9 yr old and would be totally lost without him in my life. Every time i hear this song i tear up cause he is my "little man" and my life. R.I.P Dalton

  • Seriously, this is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard in my life.

  • i love this song:)

  • I own this DVD of an Evening with the Dixie Chicks - all the musicians on this are excellent - the violin is one of the best I ever heard - these girls TOGETHER are mega-talented and the backup band is one of the best I ever heard too .

Although many disagree with Natalie Maines comments, ( I thought there was still free speech in the USA ???) , I bet many will still agree these three together created some exceptional music ! I miss this group - Courtyard Hounds -=good , not great like this

  • I love this song!

  • this is real talent who cares what they said it was years ago, people really need to get over it and support them. Even if you don't agree with what she said they are amazing artist, one of the most talented girls I ever seen...I feel bad because all Natalie sis was spoke her mind and people overreacted and judge them like they killed someone it wasn't that serious.......I been a fan since I was kid have all their CDs DVDs and I really wish them nothing but the best cause they deserve it..

  • @paola91circelli Latecomers really need to get a clue. Her "talent" was to bash an entertainer who was besting them on the charts just to get attention for their own re-release (Travelin' Soldier). Her "talent" was thinking bashing was a good idea in London. It didn't sit too well with millions who were having to take the subject deadly serious. A pandering JOKE (Her description of it for almost a year) that they couldn't defend got them big crowds in Europe, but killed their golden goose - USA

  • @paola91circelli You need to get over it and realize millions recognized the disingenuous pandering of Maines and dismissed her for it. Her three year bashing campaign that followed certainly sealed the deal with millions of ex-fans. History isn't what you remember, it is what actually happened. Learn to live in this world, not the one you created.

  • @Therealmensa You want to know something you stupid mother fucker? The soldiers that are now overseas are fighting for the right for you to speak your mind. That's a major part of this thing we all call freedom. You may not agree with what she said about George Bush but, I myself totally agree. I am very proud to be an american but, i also know that we are not perfect and that it is the people like her that make it better every day.

  • @paverop And you want to know something, you ignorant ass-clown? They weren't "speaking their minds". Who says? Natalie Maines did in her first stateside interview. When saying it was nothing but a JOKE (see their movie for reference) made it even worse, and then WMD's hadn't been found, then SUDDENLY, she decides she doesn't want to be a flip flopper, and flip flops to say she really meant it! Disingenuous to the core. Nobody is fighting to support disingenuous pandering and bashing. Ass-clown.

  • This is such an awesome DVD concert! I especially love the acoustic take on all of these wonderful songs! The women in this group seem like they're wonderful people! Sincerely, BobbyK This song can sure make you cry a river!

  • This song got me through one of the most difficult times of my life, my first miscarriage 6 years ago... I cried to it for weeks... I had forgotten how beautiful it was, as I had associated it with such a horrific and painful time of my life.. I am sitting here with tears now listening to it.... I have suffered one more miscarriage since and have been blessed with 2 more beautiful children... I love and miss my 2 angel babies though... xoxo

  • 1 person has no heart... or if he/she does, it's ice cold.

  • @Therealmensa my aren't we a spiteful ignorant person? I suppose being angry is the only joy you find in life?

Only stupid cows I know of is someone who would still be ranting over something so trivial.

  • @killerpeaches7 Gone and for good reasons. Get used to it.

  • @Therealmensa JESUS CHRIST WTF IS WRONG WITH U?!?!?! KEEP YOUR GOD DAM THOUGHTS TO YOURSELF!

  • @TheCAMFfan Holy Ra! Shut the Fuck Up! LOL. What an ass-clown you are.

  • absolutely wonderful

  • my daughter gave me this album in 2002, the year my youngest son died at 22.

this will always be Drew's song, for me. Godspeed, little man. Sweet dreams, little man.

    hug yer babies.

  • I cried to this song every time I heard it when I oldest son went to boot camp! Now my other song is in Afghan, so now I cry again when I hear it.. I LOVE THIS SONG.

  • Could that be any more beautiful? I think not.

  • I lost my son on March 22, 2010. He was born with chronic kidney failure and I listen to this song every chance I get. It reminds me of the sweet little boy he was when he was younger and the wonderful young man he grew up to be. He was 21 years old and shares a birthday with his younger sister on October 27th. I miss him everyday...I cry every other day...and my heart hurts every second. This songs fills my heart with his loving memory.

  • @shesoars I'm so sorry for your loss and broken heart. What a beautiful thing you wrote about him. It is so heartfelt. It made me cry. I know there isn't anything anyone can say to help ease the pain in your heart, so I won't even try.

  • yall need to here cactus cuties sing godspeed they r so good and the dixie chicks r to yall r bless with beautiful voices and personality

  • OMG, this song is sooooo nice, i love it, i love the dixies :-)))))

  • My son choked on a grape when he was a little over a year old. This song was my song to him before his accident, which left him disabled. They figure he was gone from this world for 15 minutes before they revived him and brought him back to us. He spent 9 days in a coma and a little over a month in the PICU unit. He is truly a champ and I greatly admire his will to live, love and laugh. He has become my inspiration and my teacher.... Love this song.

  • This song doesn't HAVE to be about death and separation. I wish godspeed to my own son as he grows and pushes on through his life.

  • To all those who are loving this song and who've lost children, may god bless u all and god bless your loved ones. All children are God's sparkles, then they become stars in heaven....

  • One of the most beautiful songs about a child probably ever written, it is so moving, i always cry when i hear it. I have 2 boys, love and light to all children in the world

  • Thinking tonight of my son Zack, who died five years ago. Mother's day is difficult for those who have lost children...this song lifts me up when I think about him.

  • i love the dixie chicks :-))))

  • @Tattooangel09 me too!!

  • Everytime I hear this song. I think about my friend Connor Simonson. He was a friend and neighbor of mine, and within in a week, he was diagnosed with Leukemia and given Chemotherapy. Later that week, on the first Friday in November in 2006, he was found unresponsive and was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. Connor was just 10 years old at that time, and when I hear this beautiful song, I just think about his funeral, when this song was played along with a slide show.

  • I miss my little man so very much :(

  • This is such a beautiful song & I always listen to it when I want to feel my son. We played this song at his funeral back in September. Jacob was born sleeping on the 18.9.09

Sweet dreams my little man xoox

  • Why did your daughter die? I really don't mean to sound rude or presumptous, but I always find it shocking when a parent should have to bury their child it should be the other way around. If you don't fell like sharing this with the whole community you might as well disregard my question. My condolences.
