  • OH MY GOD I JUST LOVE THE OOD SO MUCH ITS DISTURBING <3

  • 0:07 and now on BBC 1 ...

  • This is a beautiful episode and one of my favourites <3 OMG I just wanted to hug all the Ood at the end there. That was such a moving scene :)

  • 0:36 Awwwwww :3

  • I love that ending song. :)

  • So moving scene, I love the oods and the way they blink! They are kind and friendly, and they are adorable.

  • I love the Ood and thier song. ♥

  • I love how the Ood get a massive role in David's depart. The Ood are just so wise and kind, and I also love how Sigma has a higher priority then The Doctor. I should show this episode to my re teacher.

  • this was a good one (planet of the ood)

  • OMG THE DOOMSDAY THEME IS IN THIS!!!

  • doo doo ood ep

  • awesome, thanks very much

  • This was a beautiful episode

  • NICE transition to doomsday music....

  • why are some of the ood in suits, and some in robe-like things?

something i've always wanted to ask, or point out: The Doctor usually takes a bit of time to walk to the controls of The Tardis, and talks a bit, so why does The Tardis always start flying the moment the door of The Tardis shuts?

  • @stad97 first off the in a few scene ago it mentioned the Ood were using three forms of revenge on there captors... of which sigma had a very special form of revenge patience. If he became a red eye or rabid he wouldn't have been able to carry out his form of revenge.

secondly, I believe the ood in suits were the ones that became slaves, while the ones in robes weren't processed yet.

thirdly, well maybe The tardis has an auto flight mode that activates as soon as The Doctor enters The Tardis

  • @pikadusk

ok, first and second point understood. the third point. i don't think so, because there are also lots of times where they film The Doctor inside The Tardis, and he has to set a course. i mean, auto-pilot, The Doctor has to steer The Tardis doesn't he?

  • @stad97 well, sometimes the Tardis locks on to a point and transport the Doctor and his companions unwillingly to a place like it did at the end of 'the Poison Sky' and the beginning of 'the Doctor's Daughter'. However, I was thinking the Tardis leaving a time period and just idling in the time vortex, until the Doctor is ready to travel somewhere else.

  • @pikadusk

now that's a thought. although there was that time in the runaway bride, Donna shouted Doctor, and he heard it, which sort of implies he wasn't in the void, or he wouldn't be able to hear her. i dunno.

anyway, it's not really that important, i was just wondering.

but thanks for the ideas, you may have a point about the idling in the void. cheers.

  • now about sigma, how come he was the only one who didn't give in and all the rest of it? what was so special about him?

  • at 0:15 it looks like the BBC One ident, haha :)

  • "And know this, DoctorDonna. You will never be forgotten. Our children will sing of the DoctorDonna. And our children's children and the wind and the ice and the snow will carry your names... forever."

    Gotta love the Ood. <3

  • such an amazing episode yet so sad.

  • 'there is room in the song for you' haha aww so nice

  • Raise DA ROOF I just had to say it..

  • Thanks for posting! Great episode

  • "I've got a song of my own, thanks." I'm just taking a complete guess, but could that be a reference to River, as she's appeared several times since this episode?

  • @PhantomoftheForum

No, it's a reference to his regeneration and the " We will sing for you, Doctor. The Universe will sing you to your sleep." line.

  • The ending line may be the most beautiful line in Doctor Who. I definitely think so.

  • Which Ood is playing the piano??? =)

  • i love this scene, its very peiceful, its such a great atmosphere :)

  • this has to be one of my favorite's. that line I think your song must be ending soon always get's me

  • I need to point out the theme in the slavery of animals.

Ever since the neolithic revolution, we controlled the evolutionary process of domestic animals such as cows and dogs. We often think of our pets as humans' most beloved companions, but they are only so because we killed off numerous of generations of "dogs" until we are left with the dogs with the most obedient and slave-like charateristics embeded in their DNA. In fact, we STILL kill off our most disobediant pets.

  • @uiluj13 That and selective breeding. We've changed evolution of some species.

  • @Wikkiter It's sad really. We speak of equality and how superior human's capacity for compassion and how humane we are, and yet we justify the means with end. We say it is our "primitive animal instincts" that drives slavery and war, then we place all the blame on society and carry on with our jolly lives. Such hypocrisy is intolerable for me and awareness, at least, should rise.

  • @uiluj13 Your choice, I don't intend to deny human nature.

  • I guess the wrong thing to do right now would be to make a calimari joke.

  • @georgekostaras

    lolz

  • the oods are such amazing creatures i love them

  • @mowsikiwi

    Me too.

  • @mowsikiwi PEOPLE amazing PEOPLE

    *Oods are people too :)

  • the oods song is beautiful, i actually cried.

  • thats the song that plays while they tow the earth back home in the finale

  • Aww so sweet! <= ] i would have hugged the ood if i was there! =D <3 <3 <3

  • Every Song must end. That's the Doctor's last name, Song. His wife was River Song. Makes sense. The lady psychic in planet of the dead said the same thing. Your song must end doctor. The Doctors last name is Song.

  • Wait, what?

  • @ringmansos But then when he met River in Silence In The Library he would have recognized the last name.

  • And also playing at that time is Doomsday which is linked to when he lost Rose.

  • errrrrrrrr, that's interesting theory, but it's not confirmed in End of Time

  • @ringmansos I didn't know the Doctor was Asian.

  • "And the wind and the ice and the snow will carry your names forever, and here's a fiver"

  • actually, he knocks 3 times! :D

  • no no one knocks 4 times in waters on mars the guy who knocks 4 times is the master think his tune over, have a look at start of end of time- u will see

  • I'll put money on them using this music when the doctor regenerates.

  • it is the doctor's theme from series 1

  • Does anyone know what the brief different song is at 0:50?

  • Comment removed

  • Seems to be the first melodic phrase from Doomsday (from the episode of the same name, season 2). Thought Doctor's Theme at first too, since its more like the "feel" of that one. But the theme itself is Doomsday.

  • Long Live the ood!

  • The Ood, they may look silly but they're beautiful on the inside.

    Probably ^^

  • viva la revolution

  • The Song of Freedom, same song that plays when they defeat Davros in "Journeys End".

  • Yay for the Ood! Woohoo!

  • This part is sad but glad in an odd kind of way. The song is just the kind of music where you feel so happy you cry.

  • so in this one the dr was just an observer. the slaves freed themselves

  • well he stopped the brain from exploding and killing all of the ood across all 3 of the gallaxies

  • Beautiful thank you so much for uploading this!!!

  • the Ood are comming home

  • yay!
