awsome car its funny how lazy the big barra six compares to the smaller rb and jz powerd cars. anything that has a straight 6 is ok in my books v8s are overated a straight 6 of the same capacity of an 8 will make more power and torque and at lower rpms. its just hard makeing a straight 6 bigger then 4-5 liters dew to the massive hieght and length.

I personally prefer holdens to ford, driving one myself, but in reality, Aussie cars suck when comparing to the rest of the world. Only good thing about them is they are cheap, but that's the quality you get from them as well. The handling is unbelievable and being a HSV its better again!! Its that good its actually a better cornerer than any current model VE.

you have to take into account the displacement differences , 3.6L (190kw @6500 [Auto] vs 4.0L (195 kW @ 6000) rpm and it has almost 400Nm :(

plus the i6 has been through extensive R&D for like 10 years and the alloytec has only been through little over 4 years, but even though you have a point. Holden need to make the Alloytec a 4 litre :D

Ford will keep their BORA 6's (Inline 6).

Rudd has handed money over to Ford and Holden, as a result - Ford has decided to build the facitilities needed to make the engine to the new standards for 2010.

The blocks are Cast Iron - therefor takes too long to warm up (Running on auto-choke longer) therefor failing the standards.

They are going to make the inline 6 (same as before) with a lighter and stronger Alloy block. Things are looking good.

My stated figure above (310rwkw) is a the wheels so it's actually a gain of about 100kw overall for about $1000. Bang for your buck these cars are the best and cheapest to mod :)
