  • I know Sugar Gliders become very bonded with their owners, but do they become protective of their joeys when they're pregnant, giving birth, and while they're in the pouch or just leaving it for the first time? Or do they support/not care about the owner's involvement? I'm very curious about this, so if someone could give me an answer, that would be lovely!

  • what are they licking? How does the baby comes out if it stays in the pouch?

  • @thisishornitism babies are born first, they dont get created hanging off a nipple ya know... the lucky ones make it to the pouch and to a nipple, any others die.

  • @possum007 this is where the joey is born and make its way into its mother's pouch right?

  • @FarishaNadia yes

  • are they eating their baby?? I HOPE IM WRONG!! Dx

  • @SommieReturns No they r cleaning it

  • @XdPickles my god thank you for replying. I was so freaked out by that lol

  • the size of a grain of rice

  • how big are they

  • its a problem at this stage. the baby is an undeveloped fetus so it's jaw is not fully formed. the mother glider's nipples swell making the baby cling on. if the baby glider falls of its the end.

  • is that the dad helping her? do they always help each other give birth like midwives?

  • Great pets but they are needy and you must do your homework

  • are sugar gliders good pets

  • I didn't see the birth of mine, infact I just found out they have joeys in the pouch. I mean I did notice the lumps before but I thought it was just cause I felt like I over fed them and getting chubby. I guestimate that coco will have her joeys in 3-4 weeks. Needy maybe like 2 weeks after coco's.
