My immediate reaction to this piece is that it conveys great dignity. Not in a pompous way, but rather with a humble sort of eternal joy, without the bombastic insistence of 19th century music. That's what I love about the music of this era, particularly Gibbons.
Amazing performance, especially because it is so hard to perform all those trills that requires an authentic instrument and not the heavy modern piano. Thanks for uploading.
